Clean Utilities Engineer SME - Owners Rep - US, Richmond - 12 Month Contract Be part of a next-generation pharmaceutical project that’s transforming how medicines are made. We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Richmond, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a Clean Utilities Engineer SME to join the team and help deliver this world-class program. What you’ll do:

Drive Project Progression.Provide expert input on design concepts, block flow diagrams, and system sizing for clean utilities including: Clean steam, WFI (Water for Injection), Water pre-treatment, Clean compressed air and other clean utility systems.Participate in system reviews and compare clean utility requirements across two production buildings, aligning design decisions with site and corporate standards.

What you’ll need:

Extensive mechanical field oversight on large CAPEX projects (>$500m), with proven experience in pharmaceutical/biotech.Hands-on knowledge of high-purity and process piping systems, utilities (WFI, clean steam, gases), and vendor package installation.Demonstrated ability to review, challenge, and drive mechanical design quality, including P&IDs, utility schematics, equipment specifications, and vendor submittals, ensuring constructability and operational readiness across high-risk systems
