From flagship conferences and professional development programs to networking events, workshops and corporate functions, our Events team delivers a diverse calendar of in-person, hybrid and virtual events across Queensland.
We are seeking an organised and proactive Events Coordinator to join us on a 12-month maternity leave contract. Reporting to the Team Leader, Events, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering a broad range of events, helping create engaging experiences for members, presenters, sponsors and attendees.
This is a hands-on role where no two weeks are the same. One day you may be managing speaker logistics for a major conference, the next supporting a regional event, coordinating attendee communications or working with suppliers to ensure every detail is delivered seamlessly.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of conferences, seminars, workshops, member events and corporate functions.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, presenters, venues and suppliers to ensure successful event delivery.
- Manage event budgets and monitor income and expenditure.
- Coordinate travel, accommodation, presentation materials and audiovisual requirements for speakers and presenters.
- Manage registrations, attendee communications and event enquiries.
- Support event delivery onsite, including registration desk operations and event administration.
- Prepare post-event reporting and evaluation information.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Experience coordinating corporate, professional or member-based events across in-person, hybrid and virtual formats.
- Outstanding customer service and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and CRM or event management systems (EventsAir experience will be highly regarded; Dynamics will be advantageous).
- Relevant qualifications in event management, business or marketing.
- Flexibility to occasionally travel within Queensland and support events outside standard business hours when required.
- A current First Aid Certificate, or willingness to obtain on (training funded by QLS).
