Job Description

Quandela is hiring a Strategy & CEO Office Intern for a six-month internship starting in January 2027. The position is open to final-year and gap-year students.

You will work closely with the Chief of Staff and regularly interact with members of the Executive Committee (especially CEO and COO) and many other teams (Ops, Finance, Sales, Communication, Marketing). Your role will be to help Quandela understand a fast-moving market, make informed strategic choices and execute selected company-wide priorities, from fundraising and M&A to international growth, process implementation and AI adoption.

Like the company’s priorities, your projects will evolve during the internship. You may investigate a new market one month, help prepare a major executive meeting the next, and then take ownership of a cross-functional strategic initiative. You will combine rigorous analysis with hands-on execution and will progressively lead projects from initial question to final recommendation or delivery.

The role combines two types of work:

• High-impact strategic projects, selected according to Quandela’s priorities and your strengths.
• Recurring CEO Office responsibilities, including market intelligence, board reports and preparation for key executive meetings.

What you could work on

Strategic projects

• Support fundraising strategy through investor landscape mapping, strategic analysis and preparation of investor and board communications.
• Assess priority markets, geographies, partnerships and growth opportunities, and turn the analysis into clear recommendations for leadership.
• Screen potential acquisition targets across Quandela’s value chain and support selected M&A assessments.
• Contribute to company-wide priorities such as strategic planning, OKRs, internal AI adoption and operational design.

Market and competitive intelligence

• Monitor competitors, technologies, customers, partnerships, funding rounds and major industry developments.
• Analyze how the quantum computing market is evolving across cloud, HPC, research and enterprise applications.
• Produce concise, decision-oriented briefs and presentations for the Chief of Staff and Executive Committee.
• Improve how intelligence is collected, assessed and shared across Quandela, using databases and automation tools where relevant.

CEO Office support

• Prepare briefings and materials for strategic meetings, investor and board discussions, institutional visits and media appearances.
• Help track company objectives and coordinate planning cycles with Executive Committee members.
• Coordinate selected projects involving teams such as Sales, Partnerships, Communications, Finance, HR and Operations.
• Take ownership of urgent research and execution topics led by the Chief of Staff.

Examples of projects led by previous interns

The scope changes with the company’s priorities. Recent projects have included:

• Building Quandela’s competitive intelligence system, including competitor profiles, market monitoring, internal databases and automated information flows.
• Mapping the investment fund landscape, contributing to fundraising strategy and structuring recurring communications with investors and board members.
• Assessing international markets, strategic partnerships and acquisition targets across Quandela’s value chain.
• Coordinating company-wide initiatives, including objective tracking, the annual OKR process and the deployment of AI tools and automated workflows across teams.
• Supporting a major corporate communications campaign and preparing leadership for strategic meetings, international summits, institutional delegations and media interviews.

These examples illustrate the range of the role rather than a fixed task list. Your projects will depend on Quandela’s priorities during the internship and on the areas where you can create the most value.

Requirements

We are looking for someone who iscurious, rigorous, proactive and eager to learn quickly.

We welcome applicants fromleading business, engineering and university programs, including HEC, ESSEC, ESCP, Sciences Po, ENS, École Polytechnique, Mines Paris, CentraleSupélec, LSE and Imperial, among others. Academic background matter to an extent but if you have built a project or a company, we’d love to hear from you so please send your application!

• You have excellent analytical and synthesis skills and can turn complex information into clear recommendations.
• You communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, in French and English.
• You are autonomous, comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage several priorities.
• You are comfortable with spreadsheets and structured data. Experience with data analysis, Airtable or workflow automation is a plus.
• You are interested in deeptech, innovation and fast-growing companies. Prior knowledge of quantum computing is welcome but not required.
• You enjoy collaborating across teams and are equally comfortable conducting in-depth research and delivering practical outcomes.
