Department Overview

The Group Human Resources Supervisory Department, which is part of Rakuten Group, Inc.’s corporate headquarters, currently provides human resources services to more than tens of thousands of employees in order to strengthen the Rakuten Group’s organizational capabilities.

To support the Rakuten Group’s diversified business operations, this department serves as the cornerstone of talent acquisition, attracting a diverse range of professionals-from engineers to business roles and executives-and driving the organization’s growth. We conduct optimal and efficient recruitment activities for an organization comprising tens of thousands of employees.

We are an operations organization dedicated to ensuring the quality of the “recruitment experience” and “recruitment process” for mid-career hires in the business sector.

We currently recruit over 500 business professionals annually through mid-career hiring. A sophisticated operational infrastructure is essential to the success of these large-scale, fast-paced recruitment efforts.

Through optimal workflow design and data management, we standardize and streamline this vast recruitment process, enabling swift hiring. Going beyond mere administrative support, we play a critical role in supporting the Rakuten Group’s recruitment efforts by balancing both the “quality” and “speed” of our hiring activities.

Position Details

・Serving as the point of contact and liaising with job seekers and recruiters

・Streamlining interview scheduling and managing BPO partners

・Monitoring and optimizing the progress of the selection process

・Managing and administering internal job postings

・Preparing onboarding procedures and handling related tasks

・Coordinating with new hires, the hiring department, and other stakeholders

・Handling administrative procedures for onboarding approvals and contracts

・Preparing for onboarding, including visa support for global hires

・Managing recruitment costs and processing invoices

・Compiling, analyzing, and reporting on recruitment data

・Operating and managing business automation using RPA

・Streamlining recruitment processes and establishing systems through the implementation of AI tools

・Continuous improvement of operations aimed at enhancing productivity

・Establishing and managing systems for onboarding temporary staff

・Quality control of overall recruitment operations and promotion of operational standardization

*While you will initially be assigned some of the duties listed above, we expect you to take on a broader range of responsibilities in the medium to long term.

Work Environment

You will be assigned to the Business Recruiting Operation Group within the Business Recruiting Section of the Global Talent Acquisition Department.

・Ratio of new graduates to mid-career hires: All employees are mid-career hires

Mandatory Qualifications:

・Practical experience in roles such as sales administration, secretarial work, or group assistant-in environments where speed and accuracy are essential

・Business-level computer skills (Microsoft Office, etc.)

・Japanese: Business level or higher

Desired Qualifications:

・Experience in recruitment

・Experience leading initiatives to improve operations, streamline workflows, and increase productivity

・English proficiency: Business level
