Analyst - BI & Data Analytics

Job Summary

Rasan seeks a BI & Data Analytics Analyst to turn business data into clear, actionable insights that support informed decision-making across its digital platforms. This role combines data analysis, dashboard development, and stakeholder collaboration to monitor performance, identify trends, and help teams improve business outcomes across Rasan’s fintech and Insurtech operations.

Job Objectives

· Analyse data from multiple sources to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

§ Develop reliable dashboards and reports that make key performance indicators accessible to business teams.

§ Support data quality, consistency, and governance through well-documented analysis and reporting processes.

§ Partner with stakeholders to translate business questions into meaningful analysis and practical recommendations.

Job Responsibilities

Business Intelligence & Reporting

· Design, build, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

· Define, document, and monitor key performance indicators in collaboration with relevant business teams.

· Deliver recurring and ad hoc reporting to support operational, commercial, and strategic decision-making.

· Present findings in a clear, accessible format, explaining the implications of data for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Analysis & Insights

· Analyse structured data to identify patterns, trends, performance drivers, and potential risks or opportunities.

· Use statistical and quantitative analysis to investigate business questions and evaluate initiatives.

· Translate analytical findings into evidence-based recommendations and measurable actions.

· Support forecasting, segmentation, and performance analysis as business needs require.

Data Management & Quality

· Extract, transform, and analyse data from databases, data warehouses, and other business systems.

· Write and optimise SQL queries to retrieve and validate data for analysis and reporting.

· Work with data and technology teams to investigate data discrepancies and improve data quality.

· Maintain clear documentation of data definitions, report logic, assumptions, and analytical methods.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

· Engage with stakeholders to understand their objectives, clarify requirements, and prioritise analytical requests.

· Collaborate with product, operations, finance, marketing, and engineering teams to support cross-functional initiatives.

· Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, automate recurring analysis, and increase self-service access to insights.

· Handle sensitive data responsibly and follow applicable data privacy, security, and governance requirements.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in business analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Licences & Certifications

Certifications in business intelligence, data analytics, or relevant BI platforms are an advantage.

Previous Work Experience

· Bring 2-4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, or a related role.

· Demonstrate experience developing dashboards and reports to support business decision-making.

· Bring experience analysing data from multiple sources and presenting findings to stakeholders.

· Experience in fintech, Insurtech, financial services, or another regulated digital environment is an advantage.

Skills and Abilities

· Demonstrate strong SQL skills and the ability to query, validate, and analyse data.

· Demonstrate practical experience with a BI and visualisation tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or an equivalent platform.

· Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and data visualisation features.

· Bring familiarity with data modelling, data warehouses, ETL processes, and data quality principles.

· Experience with Python or R for data analysis is an advantage.

· Demonstrate strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to draw sound conclusions from data.

· Communicate insights clearly and adapt presentations to technical and non-technical audiences.

· Demonstrate effective collaboration, organisation, and prioritisation skills when managing multiple requests.

· Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
