Confirmed on the employer's own hiring board on Sep 25, 2026. First seen by Alion on Sep 24, 2026.
You will not be working from second-hand briefs or sitting several layers away from the client. You will join briefing calls, shape the search strategy, present your shortlists and remain involved through interviews, negotiation and placement.
There is no business development target, but you will have direct access to clients. It is an ideal middle ground for someone who wants more than a traditional delivery role without moving into cold sales. This is a strong opportunity for someone who really enjoys client engagement and identifying growth through building and developing relationships with existing clients.
About the Company
Our client is an established, privately owned executive search and recruitment business specialising in the animal and agricultural industries. The company works across the UK and international markets, partnering with specialist SMEs and major global organisations on exclusive, retained and contained assignments.
This is a close-knit business entering an exciting period of growth. Delivery is respected as a commercially valuable specialism, and strong performers are given the autonomy and trust to make a genuine impact.
You will also work in markets with real purpose - supporting organisations improving animal health, advancing agricultural technology and helping shape the future of food production and animal welfare.
The Role
You have the opportunity to take ownership of exclusive searches from the initial client conversation through to successful placement.
This will include:
- Joining client briefings and influencing the search
- Mapping markets and proactively headhunting talent
- Building and personally presenting quality shortlists
- Managing candidates throughout the entire process
- Developing trusted relationships with assigned clients
- Building genuine expertise within specialist markets
- There are no split fees or arguments over candidate ownership. When you are given an assignment, the full placement value is credited towards your performance and also your commission.
Why Join?
- Work exclusively on retained, contained or exclusive assignments
- Gain direct client exposure without carrying a BD target
- Receive full recognition and financial credit for your placements
- Join a collaborative culture without internal competition
- Work fully remotely while remaining connected to the wider team
- Receive tailored, face-to-face onboarding and ongoing coaching
- Attend client meetings, exhibitions and industry events
- Build a career across delivery, executive search or account management
- Benefit from quarterly (no threshold) commission, an annual bonus and a strong benefits package
Who They’re Looking For
You will already have agency recruitment delivery or executive search experience and genuinely enjoy identifying and engaging passive talent.
You will be confident speaking with clients and senior candidates, comfortable owning multiple searches and capable of performing autonomously in a remote environment.
Previous experience within animal health or agriculture would be beneficial but is not essential. What matters more is your recruitment expertise, curiosity and genuine interest in developing within these specialist markets.
This is not a high-ego or heavily micromanaged environment. It will suit someone accountable, collaborative and motivated to contribute to the wider success of the business.
Work Model & Benefits
This is a fully remote UK role with occasional travel for onboarding, team meetings, client visits and industry events.
The package includes uncapped quarterly commission from the first placement, an annual performance bonus, generous annual leave with additional days available for achieving targets, a wellness allowance, pension and a complete home-working setup.
If you want to remain focused on delivery while gaining more ownership, more client influence and more opportunity to progress, this is a move worth exploring.
