Assistant General Manager - Digital Commerce & MarTech Platforms

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Manager / AGM Digital Commerce & MarTech Platforms to lead and manage the organization's digital commerce and marketing technology ecosystem.

The role will be responsible for the end-to-end technology landscape covering Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), Salesforce Data Cloud, Order Management Systems (OMS), digital platforms and enterprise integrations.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in D2C / eCommerce, retail technology, Salesforce platforms, omnichannel commerce and integration architecture, along with proven experience in managing teams, technology partners and senior business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Commerce / Salesforce Commerce Cloud:

- Own the roadmap, architecture, enhancement, release management and operations of the Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) platform.

- Manage SFCC B2C storefront capabilities including catalog, pricing, promotions, search, checkout, customer accounts and third-party integrations.

- Drive website performance, conversion optimization, SEO, Core Web Vitals, personalization and customer experience initiatives.

- Manage integrations with payment gateways, tax, fraud, search, reviews, chat and other digital platforms.

- Lead peak-season readiness including performance testing, capacity planning, release governance and production support.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud / MarTech:

- Own the architecture and operations of Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).

- Work across Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Automation Studio, Contact Builder and Data Extensions.

- Drive customer lifecycle journeys such as welcome, abandoned cart, browse abandonment, post-purchase, loyalty and win-back.

- Integrate SFMC with SFCC, CRM and customer data platforms.

- Support personalization, customer engagement, WhatsApp / conversational commerce, analytics and tag management initiatives.

- Ensure consent, preference management and data privacy requirements are met.

Salesforce Data Cloud / Customer Data Platform:

- Lead implementation and adoption of Salesforce Data Cloud / Customer Data Platform.

- Integrate customer data from eCommerce, CRM, OMS, POS, loyalty, ERP and digital channels.

- Drive unified customer profiles, identity resolution, segmentation and audience activation.

- Enable activation across Marketing Cloud, digital commerce, advertising and personalization platforms.

- Establish data governance, data quality, consent management and privacy standards.

- Translate customer data and insights into measurable business outcomes such as retention, personalization and incremental revenue.

OMS & Omnichannel Commerce:

- Own the technology roadmap for Order Management Systems (OMS) such as Vinculum, Unicommerce, Increff or Salesforce OMS.

- Enable omnichannel capabilities including ship-from-store, BOPIS / click & collect, endless aisle, returns and split shipments.

- Manage integrations with marketplaces, warehouses, stores and logistics / 3PL partners.

- Work closely with Supply Chain and Retail teams to improve inventory accuracy, order fulfilment and customer experience.

Integration & Solution Architecture:

- Design and govern integrations across ERP, PIM, OMS, WMS, POS, CRM, payments, logistics, loyalty, data warehouse and BI platforms.

- Work with API, middleware and iPaaS technologies such as MuleSoft, Boomi or Azure Integration Services.

- Define API standards, integration architecture, monitoring, error handling, reconciliation and data flows.

- Ensure scalable, secure and reliable integration between digital and enterprise platforms.

Leadership & Stakeholder Management:

- Lead internal digital technology teams and manage system integrators, agencies and technology vendors.

- Own technology roadmap, budgets, licenses, vendor performance and delivery governance.

- Partner with Marketing, eCommerce, Retail, Supply Chain, Finance and IT leadership.

- Translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.

- Drive Agile delivery, release management, DevOps, production support and incident / RCA processes.

- Ensure security, compliance, PCI-DSS, VAPT and data privacy requirements across platforms.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 12 - 15 years of overall experience in Digital / IT / eCommerce / Technology.

- 6 - 8+ years of experience in eCommerce / D2C / Digital Commerce / Retail Technology.

- Strong hands-on / leadership experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC).

- Strong understanding of SFRA, Business Manager, cartridges and SFCC integrations.

- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) is highly preferred.

- Experience with Salesforce Data Cloud / CDP and customer data initiatives is highly preferred.

- Experience with OMS platforms such as Vinculum, Unicommerce, Increff or Salesforce OMS.

- Strong understanding of REST / SOAP APIs, middleware, integrations and enterprise architecture.

- Experience integrating digital platforms with ERP, PIM, CRM, POS, WMS, payments and logistics.

- Strong experience in vendor / SI management and stakeholder management.

- Experience managing teams, budgets, technology roadmaps and production environments.

- Experience in Retail, Fashion, Lifestyle, Footwear, Beauty, FMCG or Consumer / D2C organizations will be preferred.

Qualifications:

- B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / IT or MCA preferred.

- MBA is an added advantage.

- Salesforce certifications will be an advantage.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

We are looking for a digital commerce technology leader who can connect eCommerce, MarTech, Customer Data and Omnichannel Order Management into one scalable ecosystem.

Candidates with experience in building / re-platforming D2C eCommerce platforms, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, retail technology, omnichannel commerce and enterprise integrations will be strongly preferred.
