SAP ABAP Developer - SAP ECC | Retail Domain
Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with strong expertise in developing, enhancing, and supporting custom SAP applications in an SAP ECC environment.
The candidate will be responsible for delivering technical solutions, developing custom objects, troubleshooting application issues, and supporting production deployments.
Experience in the Retail domain is mandatory.
Knowledge of SAP Apparel and Footwear (AFS) is preferred.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop, enhance, and maintain custom SAP applications using ABAP in an SAP ECC environment.
- Build and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, enhancements, and forms.
- Work with User Exits, BAdIs, BAPIs, IDocs, and RFCs to implement business requirements.
- Develop and support custom technical objects based on functional specifications.
- Debug and resolve technical issues in existing SAP applications.
- Collaborate with SAP functional analysts across modules to understand requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Perform unit testing, code optimisation, and performance tuning.
- Support production deployments, transport management, and post-deployment issue resolution.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developments and enhancements.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to SAP development standards.
Required Candidate Profile :
- 10 - 12 years of experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC technical development.
- Mandatory experience in the Retail domain.
- Expertise in ABAP programming, debugging, enhancements, interfaces, and custom SAP objects.
- Strong experience with User Exits, BAdIs, BAPIs, IDocs, and RFCs.
- Experience developing reports, forms, and interfaces.
- Knowledge of SAP integration and cross-functional business processes.
- Experience in unit testing, code optimisation, and production support.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills :
- Knowledge or experience in SAP Apparel and Footwear (AFS).
- Exposure to SAP MM, SD, and FI functional processes.
- Experience supporting large-scale SAP ECC implementations or enhancement projects.
