The manager translates demand into achievable production and material plans while ensuring supplier performance, inventory health, customer delivery, and strong SAP/MRP discipline.

Key priorities:

Lead and develop the Planning and Procurement team.

Partner across Operations, Quality, R&D, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service, and Strategic Sourcing.

Ideal background: 5-7+ years of progressive supply chain or manufacturing experience, demonstrated people leadership, strong ERP/MRP capability, and excellent analytical and cross-functional communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop the four-person Rancho Planning and Procurement team through clear priorities, accountability, cross-training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Own production planning, material planning, scheduling, and procurement from demand review through execution, balancing demand, inventory, capacity, lead times, and supplier capability.
  • Partner with Operations to maintain a stable production schedule, controlled schedule changes, material availability, and recovery plans that protect customer commitments.
  • Partner with R&D and cross-functional teams to plan prototype and development builds, aligning materials, capacity, documentation, and schedules with production commitments.
  • Lead shortage and supplier reviews, including purchase-order confirmations, past-due orders, delivery performance, capacity, business continuity, and documented recovery actions.
  • Maintain SAP/MRP discipline through accurate transactions, master data, planning parameters, lead times, safety stocks, purchasing data, and timely action on exceptions.
  • Manage inventory health and safety-stock performance to support continuity of supply, working-capital goals, and reduction of excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Support site-level SIOP by translating demand, capacity, inventory, and supply constraints into an achievable plan and escalating gaps and recommendations to Filtration Network leadership.
  • Identify and communicate material, supplier, capacity, inventory, schedule, customer-delivery, and revenue risks with data, options, owners, and recovery dates.
  • Attend and actively participate in daily tier-management meetings, provide clear supply chain updates, escalate issues promptly, and ensure assigned actions are completed.
  • Own supply chain KPIs, including OTIF, supplier delivery, shortages, past-due purchase orders, inventory health, safety stock, TRL, and data accuracy.
  • Lead and participate in RCCM and continuous improvement activities, using structured problem solving, corrective actions, standard work, visual management, and metrics to sustain improvements.
  • Build effective operating cadences and decisions with Operations, Quality, R&D, Engineering, Finance, Customer Service, Strategic Sourcing, and Filtration Network partners.
  • Coordinate intersite supply and lead strategic projects that improve service, lead time, cost, inventory, scalability, and business continuity.
  • Model hands-on leadership, sound judgment, urgency, accountability, customer focus, and effective change management.
  • Perform other responsibilities as needed to support the Rancho site, Supply Chain organization, and Filtration business line.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 5-7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, planning, procurement, or manufacturing operations
  • 3+ years of demonstrated people leadership experience
  • Experience leading planning and procurement in a manufacturing environment; regulated life-sciences, biotechnology, or medical-device experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of production and material planning, scheduling, capacity, suppliers, purchase-order execution, shortages, inventory, and cross-functional recovery planning.
  • Demonstrated ERP/MRP proficiency, including demand and supply signals, exceptions, planning parameters, lead times, safety stock, and master-data impacts; SAP experience is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze operational data, identify root causes, evaluate options, and translate findings into clear decisions and actions.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with PowerPoint and Word; Power Query, Power BI, workflow automation, or similar tools are preferred.
  • Experience with Palantir or a similar enterprise data and analytics platform is preferred.
  • Experience establishing standard work, KPIs, operating cadences, change management, and sustainable process improvements.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, negotiation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead with urgency and accountability.
