Senior Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer (Fixed-Term Contract, 12 Months)

Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) works across ResMed and our suppliers to continuously improve performance, ensure adequate process controls methods through sound quality assurance principles. These activities are all aimed at protecting and boosting ResMed’s ability to meet and exceed its Quality, Delivery and Cost targets. This role works across ResMed and our suppliers to ensure that internal and supplier processes deliver quality products and services to ResMed and to ensure ResMed has a consistent approach with our supply chain at an Engineering level.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

• Ensure thorough knowledge of ResMed’s Quality system to work within established policies and procedures, compliance with GMP, regulatory requirements and other business systems.

• Operate autonomously whilst interacting effectivelywith andseeking input from team members and other areas of the business including,Logistics/Distribution,Procurement, Product Development Team,Marketing,Manufacturing, andQuality to ensure the supplier meets ResMed quality requirements.

• Apply a risk-based approach in improving ResMed processes whilemaintainingquality compliance.

• Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and trends, escalating emerging quality signals and trends toappropriate leadersand stakeholdersin a timely manner.

• Initiate programs to improve supplier performance systematically and reduce cost ofpoor quality,utilizingdigitalizationand data analytics

• Ensuretimelycommunication of issues that affect supplier quality and delivery capability to the relevant stakeholders across the organization.

• Educate and support suppliers in their use of various quality prevention tools to ensuredefect freeproducts.

• Drive continuous improvement activities at suppliers to include product quality cycle and delivery performance through use of standard metricsandsix sigma

• Drive supplier and sub-supplier performance to includeidentifyingand driving supplier process improvements, root cause analysis, and corrective actions with sufficient breadth and depth

• Maintain lessons learned from various investigations to assist in development andsharing ofbest practice.

• Work within a Project Team environment and perform other tasks as requested toassistthe business reach andmaintainits goals.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum5years’experiencemanagingexternal suppliers

• High-bay or ASRS warehouses and third-partylogisticsmanagement

• Warehouse housekeeping, especially in pest control interfaces

• Quality risk assessment in warehouse activities

• Problem solving methods & tools as well as quality process knowledge, including statistics (A3, 8D, KT Problem Solving,DMAICetc.).

• Strong negotiation skills, communication skills, influential leadership & business acumen.

• MicrosoftOutlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel proficient.

• Oracle business information system

Required:

• Degree qualification in Engineering or Science.

Preferred:

• Experience inoperatingwithin highly regulated industry - preferably medical device industry

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
