About This Role
Interim Senior Accountant Consultant, supporting a Regulatory Accounting team during a period of elevated close activity and SAP ERP transformation. This 6 month opportunity requires hands-on operational accounting expertise within a highly regulated and complex environment. This role is partnering with Financial Reporting, Regulatory Accounting, and cross-functional stakeholders working on month-end close, reconciliations and supporting schedules delivering accuracy, timeliness, and process stability.What You Will Work On
- Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities aligned with corporate deadlines and internal controls.
- Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, supporting schedules, and variance analyses for regulatory accounts.
- Research complex regulatory accounting transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and regulatory balance tracking to support compliance requirements.
What You Will Bring
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally at the Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant level.
- SAP expertise and comfort operating in large, matrixed organizations.
- Prior experience in regulated industry accounting-utilities, energy, government, or similar.
- Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines independently, with proven analytical rigor and documentation accuracy.
- A proactive, detail-oriented mindset-someone who blends manager-level judgment with hands-on execution and thrives in transformation environments.
