Job Overview
Role: Sales Manager (Banking Sector)
Core Goal: Drive revenue targets, build client relationships, and oversee financial product sales (such as loans, accounts, or digital banking software).
Key Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and pursue new client opportunities, corporate accounts, or institutional partnerships.
Sales Strategy: Develop local and regional market strategies to sell banking products like loans, credit facilities, deposits, or specialized treasury services.
Team Leadership: Coach, train, and manage sales representatives or relationship managers to meet and exceed performance goals.
Client Management: Build long-term relationships with key high-net-worth, corporate, or institutional clients.
Compliance & Risk: Ensure all sales activities follow local banking laws, regulatory frameworks (such as central bank guidelines), and internal KYC/AML policies.
Performance Tracking: Monitor sales pipelines using CRM systems, analyze metrics, and report forecasts to senior leadership
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
Experience: 5 to 10+ years of experience in B2B or financial services sales, with at least 3 years in a team-handling or management role.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of banking operations, lending products, digital financial solutions, and regional central bank regulations.
Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, executive negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
