Salt is currently hiring Network Field Engineers for a client of ours in Mannheim, Germany. Summary

Experienced Network Field Engineer required to provide on-site support for LAN, WLAN, and UC environments, including installation, troubleshooting, and coordination with remote teams.

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in network field support (LAN/WLAN/UC)
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS (Layer 1-2) troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow and ITIL processes
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Ability to work at heights (~3 meters)
  • Valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and safety equipment

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, relocate, and decommission network devices (switches, access points, IP phones)
  • Perform patching, device power management, and status checks
  • Conduct IOS upgrades, resets, and basic device recovery
  • Collaborate with remote teams for implementation and troubleshooting
  • Provide clear technical feedback on devices, cabling, and installations
