Database Developer

Sandhills Global is seeking a Database Developer to develop industry-leading solutions using Microsoft SQL Server technologies. The role focuses on designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining large-scale database projects, while supporting database performance, security, availability, and application troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and document logical and physical database models to cater to a variety of business requirements
• Adhere to best practices and standards in the areas of performance, security, and availability of databases
• Create, maintain, and execute SQL Server jobs
• Provide post-implementation support, including, but not limited to, monitoring application performance and debugging existing code
• Keep up with advancements and changes in technology and develop an understanding of how new technologies can be leveraged to provide business solutions
• Assume other database duties as assigned

• • Experience working in an Agile or iterative approach to delivery preferred
• • Experience in cloud environments, preferably Azure is a plus
• • Experience in SSIS development is a plus
• • Experience in SSMS (SQL Server Management Studio) is a plus
