The Role
SCYTALYS is looking for an experienced and motivated Product Development Manager to drive the development, positioning, and lifecycle management of the company's defense and interoperability solutions. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining product strategy and roadmap, aligning products with customer and operational requirements, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product delivery, market adoption, and long-term competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Scytalys' defense and interoperability solutions
- Translate customer and market needs into product requirements, value propositions, and release plans
- Prioritize product features and coordinate delivery milestones with Engineering and Technical Leadership
- Lead end-to-end product development activities, ensuring timely delivery of market-ready solutions
- Conduct market and competitor analysis across the defense, aerospace, and security sectors
- Support customer engagements, product demonstrations, defense exhibitions, and industry events
- Collaborate with Marketing and Business Development on product positioning, launch activities, and sales enablement material
- Gather and assess customer feedback, operational insights, and market trends to drive product improvements
- Monitor product performance and ROI, recommending actions to maximize business value
- Deliver product training to internal teams, customers, and key stakeholders
Requirements
- Military background and strong familiarity with defense, aerospace, or security sector; understanding of military procurement processes, NATO standards, or C4ISR/Tactical Data Link concept with focus on Land C4I
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 3+ years of experience in Product Management or a similar role
- Experience managing product roadmaps, product launches, and lifecycle activities
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a technology-driven environment
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle management principles and methodologies
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market intelligence, product metrics, and business data
- Familiarity with product and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
