The Activity Area Manager is responsible for leading and managing multiple Sparks Sports Academy centers within an assigned area.
The role oversees Senior Coaches and supports the overall Coach population through the Senior Coach structure. The Activity Area Manager is responsible for maintaining operational control, monitoring performance, managing people, solving problems, and ensuring that company initiatives are successfully executed across all assigned centers.
The role also works closely with Home Office and cross-functional departments to connect business plans with center-level execution.
Yor Day-To-Day:
- Area and Center Management Manage and monitor multiple centers within the assigned area. Maintain visibility of center performance, operational issues, and key risks. Ensure operational standards are implemented consistently.
- People Leadership Lead, support, and develop Senior Coaches. Set clear expectations and priorities. Monitor team performance and provide coaching when needed. Build accountability and ownership within the team.
- Performance and Operations Monitor center and team performance. Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Ensure key operational issues are addressed and followed up.
- Problem Solving Investigate and understand problems before escalating. Identify possible solutions and recommend appropriate actions. Ensure clear ownership and follow-up until resolution.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with Home Office and relevant departments. Communicate operational needs and feedback from the centers. Support cross-functional projects and initiatives.
- Initiative Execution Ensure company initiatives are understood and implemented effectively at the center level. Coordinate Senior Coaches and center teams during implementation. Monitor progress and provide feedback for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Education, Sports Science, Physical Education, Sports Management, or other relevant fields.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the education, sports, children's activity, or related service industry.
- Previous experience in a leadership, supervisory, or management role is preferred.
- Experience managing multiple teams, classes, programs, or locations is an advantage.
- Experience leading and developing team members, supervisors, or team leaders.
- Strong understanding of operational management and day-to-day center or program operations.
