Skiddaw Transport is a local delivery company with depots based in Carlisle and Gretna. We run delivery routes for FedEx, DHL, InPost and UPS across Cumbria and the borders. We're a small team and we look after our drivers. We're growing and need reliable multi-drop drivers to grow with us.
Why drive for Skiddaw?
- Top local rates. You can earn up to £210/day + VAT as an owner driver, or up to £135/day + VAT with a van, fuel and insurance all covered.
- Variety and security. We work across four networks (FedEx, DHL, InPost and UPS), so there's more steady work.
- Extras you won't get elsewhere. You get an accountant provided, 10% off at our own MOT & Service Centre, and £250 for every driver you refer to drive with us.*
The Multi Drop Driver Role:
You'll load up at the depot each morning and deliver parcels to homes and businesses on a regular route, through towns, villages and the countryside. It's steady, regular work where you get to know your patch, and there's a team behind you if anything goes wrong on the road.
Pay:
- Owner driver using your own van: up to £210/day + VAT, which is up to £1,260/week + VAT
- Company van driver: up to £135/day + VAT, which is up to £810/week + VAT, with a modern van, fuel and insurance all included
- Paid monthly
What you get:
- Full depot-specific training for every driver, even if you're experienced, so you're set up for success from day one
- Self-employed, with an accountant provided to keep things simple
- Regular work, up to 6 days a week
- Five-day weeks and part time available
- 10% off anything at Skiddaw MOT & Service Centre on your personal vehicles
- £250 for every driver you refer to drive with us*
What we're looking for:
- A full UK driving licence
- Reliable, good timekeeping and happy working on your own
- A positive attitude and good customer service at the door
- Already a delivery driver? Here's why drivers are switching to Skiddaw:
You already know the job, so do it somewhere that rewards you for it. - Great pay. Up to £210/day + VAT with your own van, or up to £135/day + VAT with ours
- No running costs on our vans. Van, fuel and insurance are all included
- Accountant provided. We take care of the self-employed side for you
- Steady work. Routes across FedEx, DHL, InPost and UPS
- 10% off anything at Skiddaw MOT & Service Centre on your own vehicles
- £250 for every driver you refer to drive with us*
Your experience means you'll be straight on the road, and we'll still give you depot-specific training so you're set up for success. Switching is easy.
