Join Slice, a leading technology company, as an Engineering Manager for our DevEx Platform teams. In this role, you will focus on improving developer experience, deployment reliability, and engineering effectiveness. You will guide architecture and technical strategy, help the team deliver platform improvements, and hire and coach outstanding engineers. You will collaborate with engineering teams across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe, and your success will be measured by improved deployment velocity, system reliability, platform adoption, and developer productivity.
Missions
- Focusing teams on customer outcomes, creating clarity in uncertain situations, and making decisions with incomplete information.
- Partnering with engineering leadership to identify developer friction and platform opportunities, and measuring success by improved deployment velocity and developer productivity.
- Hiring, coaching, and retaining outstanding platform and software engineers, and providing meaningful ownership and growth opportunities.
Profil recherché
- Proven track record of improving developer experience, deployment reliability, and engineering effectiveness- Clear, direct communication across both technical platform teams and product engineering stakeholders
- Experience managing high-performing platform engineering teams
- Technical expertise across Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD), CI/CD (GitHub Actions), Python automation, AWS, Terraform, and Datadog
- Strong candidates will bring:
- A platform mindset: thinking in reusable systems, self-service tooling, and scalable guardrails rather than one-off fixes
- Skilled at project planning/tracking and creation of team roadmaps
