GCP Presales Lead (Solutions Architect – Google Cloud)

Lead end-to-end pre-sales activities for GCP opportunities, from discovery and qualification to solution design, proposal development, presentation, and negotiation support.

Design customer solutions across Data & Analytics, AI/ML, Application & Integration, and Google Workspace, leveraging relevant GCP products and services.

Develop and present technical proposals, including solution architectures, diagrams, effort estimates, pricing models, and ROI analysis.

Lead customer workshops, proof of concepts (POCs), and product demonstrations, including live demos on the GCP Console.

Recommend suitable GCP licensing, pricing, and consumption models based on customer requirements and budgets.

Google Cloud Partnership & Ecosystem Collaboration (20%)

Collaborate with Google Cloud Customer Engineers and Partner Engineers to drive joint sales opportunities and leverage partner resources.

Support SmartOSC’s Google Cloud partnership development through certifications, customer success stories, partner programs, and Marketplace listings.

Coordinate the listing of GCP accelerators on Google Cloud Marketplace and support relevant partner initiatives.

Participate in Google Cloud events, workshops, and partner programs to identify opportunities and apply market insights to pre-sales activities.

Pre-Sales Assets & Knowledge Development (20%)

Build and maintain reusable pre-sales assets, including pitch decks, solution templates, case studies, and competitive battle cards covering GCP, AWS, and Azure.

Stay current with GCP product developments, new features, and pricing changes, particularly across Data and AI.

Enable Sales and Business Analyst (BA) teams to effectively position GCP solutions through training and knowledge sharing.

Develop and maintain internal GCP documentation, guidelines, and best practices.

Market Intelligence & Pipeline Support (10%)

Partner with Sales to identify, assess, and qualify GCP opportunities across existing accounts and new prospects.

Analyze cloud market trends, competitor offerings, and industry-specific use cases across Retail, FIBS, and Manufacturing in Vietnam and Southeast Asia.

Recommend industry solutions aligned with customer needs and market opportunities.

Monitor pre-sales pipeline progress and support deal conversion, targeting a proposal win rate of at least 30%.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Architecture, or Technical Consulting, including 2+ years designing GCP solutions and leading at least 3-5 cloud/data presales deals.

Strong knowledge of GCP core services, BigQuery, data pipelines, and AI/ML solutions, particularly the Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Gemini API.

Proficient in solution architecture design, technical presentations, pricing estimation, and TCO analysis.

Proven experience working with enterprise customers, managing stakeholders, and supporting complex sales cycles.

Hold at least one Google Cloud certification; Professional-level certifications are highly preferred. Candidates without one must commit to obtaining two Professional-level certifications within six months, with exam fees covered by the company.

Excellent English communication and presentation skills, consultative selling mindset, business storytelling ability, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have: Experience with Google Cloud partners, Retail/E-commerce or Financial Services, Google Cloud Marketplace, Cortex Framework, BQML, Document AI, and AWS/Azure.
