Infrastructure Test Analyst

Role Overview To provide enhanced specialist testing and comprehensive analytical and coordination skills as part of a small, high preforming team working on mission-critical applications within our Defence and Security sector, delivering secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions. As an Infrastructure Test Engineer , you’ll be instrumental in ensuring that the quality and reliability of systems that support national security operations or as part of a development project for both functional and non-functional testing. You will be responsible for validating and verifying infrastructure components, systems, and networks to ensure performance, reliability and security requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities · To apply industry best practice to the Testing Processes · To provide domain knowledge to support delivery in specialised areas of functional and non-functional testing. · To elicit and/or clarify detailed testing requirements where they are missing or vague · To produce and review Test Plans · To develop Test Cases (scenarios) and Test Scripts for infrastructure systems (servers, storage, network and virtualization). · To create and manage test data · To support and execute all levels of testing by actively co-ordinating other parties involved in the project and to document and verify test results. · To produce basic metrics on tests executed and incidents raised and proactively facilitate the resolution of errors. · To use testing tools, as required, and assist with tool evaluation as appropriate · To produce Test Completion Reports · To input into estimating for testing activities · To escalate issues that might impact on quality or the ability to complete tests according to plan, and to proactively seek appropriate solutions.
