Role : Backend Developer

About the role :

We're looking for a Backend Developer to join our Growth team, working on product areas that directly impact user onboarding, conversion, subscriptions, and revenue.

You'll work closely with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to build and improve backend systems across the user journey.

What You'll Work On :

- Build and maintain backend services for onboarding, experiments, payments & subscriptions

- Design and integrate APIs with internal and third-party systems

- Work with product and marketing teams to turn requirements into scalable solutions

- Analyze product and business data to inform engineering decisions

- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and end-to-end feature development

Tech Stack :

- Backend : Java (Spring Boot), Ruby on Rails

- Databases : MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Redshift

- Others : Kafka, Docker, Grafana, Elastic Observability

What We're Looking For :

- 1 - 2 years of experience in Backend Development

- Strong experience with Java/Spring Boot, Ruby on Rails, or a similar backend stack

- Good understanding of SQL/relational databases and API design

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Comfortable working with ambiguous requirements and taking ownership

- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar

Nice to Have :

- Experience with A/B testing or experimentation

- Exposure to payment gateways or subscription billing

- Experience with Kafka/event-driven systems

- Basic knowledge of React/TypeScript or Flutter

- Familiarity with Docker and observability tools
