We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to identify business and process gaps, diagnose root causes, and turn data and client needs into actionable recommendations and measurable improvements.
You will work directly with client and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, assess current processes, define future-state solutions, and track improvements through implementation. With descriptive reporting increasingly supported by automation and AI, the role focuses on diagnosis, recommendation, stakeholder influence, and measurable business outcomes.
You will also help identify opportunities where Stefanini's broader capabilities can solve additional client challenges and contribute to solution development, presales, and client conversations.
This role is suited to someone with strong consulting and commercial awareness who also has the potential to grow into a Business Analytics Lead or Manager role, progressively taking responsibility for mentoring others, coordinating delivery, and developing the Business Analyst capability.
Key Responsibilities
Business analysis and process improvement:
- Partner with client and internal stakeholders to understand business objectives, operational challenges, and improvement opportunities;
- Map current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, failure points, risks, and avoidable costs, and define improved future-state processes;
- Diagnose root causes using process analysis, operational data, KPI benchmarking, and AI-enabled analytical tools;
- Translate complex business problems into clear requirements, recommendations, and solution concepts;
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, automation, and AI-enabled improvement;
- Develop prioritized recommendations and business cases defining the proposed action, expected value, ownership, effort, and potential risks;
- Support solution design, testing, implementation, and adoption to ensure business requirements are effectively addressed.
Data analysis, recommendations, and outcomes:
- Analyze business and operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities;
- Move beyond descriptive reporting to determine why performance issues occur, what should change, and what business value the change could generate;
- Translate complex findings into concise, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders;
- Define success measures and track implemented recommendations through completion;
- Measure and communicate results in financial, operational, productivity, service-quality, or customer-experience terms where applicable;
- Proactively identify emerging risks and opportunities before they develop into larger business or client issues;
- Apply appropriate professional judgment when using AI-generated analysis and validate outputs before incorporating them into recommendations.
Client advisory and stakeholder collaboration:
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and develop a detailed understanding of their business objectives and operating environment;
- Facilitate workshops with business, operational, and technical stakeholders to identify issues, validate requirements, and agree on next steps;
- Present findings, recommendations, and business cases clearly to senior client and internal stakeholders;
- Challenge assumptions constructively and use evidence to support decisions;
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives and drive progress across teams without requiring direct authority;
- Maintain clear documentation of requirements, decisions, actions, ownership, risks, and expected outcomes.
Commercial and business growth:
- Identify client challenges that may represent opportunities for Stefanini to provide additional value;
- Recognize potential cross-sell, upsell, automation, AI, analytics, continuous-improvement, and new-service opportunities;
- Translate client needs into clear business requirements that can be evaluated and developed by the appropriate Stefanini teams;
- Partner with client relationship, sales, solutioning, technology, and delivery teams to shape relevant solutions;
- Contribute business-analysis expertise to presales discussions, RFP responses, proposals, and client presentations;
- Support the development of clear value propositions, expected outcomes, and supporting business cases;
- Maintain a consultative approach focused on solving client problems and creating sustainable business value rather than traditional product selling.
Leadership and capability development:
- Take ownership of complex initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, teams, and business objectives;
- Mentor and support less-experienced Business Analysts through practical guidance, knowledge sharing, and peer review;
- Help establish and continuously improve Business Analyst methodologies, templates, standards, and ways of working;
- Review analysis and recommendations to ensure quality, clarity, and business relevance;
- Coordinate Business Analyst activities and priorities when required;
- Demonstrate leadership through ownership, sound judgment, collaboration, and influence before formal people-management responsibility;
- Progressively develop the skills required to take greater responsibility for team coordination, client engagement, delivery governance, service development, and people leadership.
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in Business Analysis, Business Consulting, Process Improvement, IT Consulting, or a comparable client-facing analytical role;
- Proven experience working with senior business and client stakeholders
- Experience facilitating workshops, stakeholder discussions, and cross-functional initiatives;
- Experience with current-state and future-state process mapping using BPMN or similar process-mapping methods;
- Experience developing recommendations and business cases supported by data;
- Demonstrated leadership potential through mentoring, project leadership, knowledge sharing, or coordination of others;
- Strong ability to translate complex business and operational information into concise recommendations and actions;
- Strong ability to perform prescriptive analysis, moving from problem identification and root-cause diagnosis to recommendations and measurable outcomes;
- Good knowledge of a business intelligence or visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau;
- Good practical experience using AI tools to support business analysis, combined with the judgment to validate outputs before client or business use;
- A consultative, commercially aware approach and the ability to identify opportunities to create additional client value;
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills;
- Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder-management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of moderately complex and complex business-analysis initiatives.
- Excellent written and spoken English;
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within operational consulting environments;
- Working knowledge of SQL;
- Experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or similar enterprise platforms;
- Knowledge of ITIL principles and IT service-management environments;
- Understanding of Agile delivery, the software development lifecycle, system integrations, and enterprise data flows;
- Experience supporting presales, RFPs, solution design, client proposals, or account-growth initiatives;
- Experience with automation, AI, or data-driven process improvement;
- Working knowledge of Python or R;
- Previous experience mentoring Business Analysts or acting as a project, workstream, or team lead.
What Success Looks Like
- Business and process problems are identified and supported by clear evidence and root-cause analysis;
- Recommendations are practical, prioritized, and supported by clear business rationale and measurable expected outcomes;
- Improvement initiatives are tracked through implementation, and their business impact is measured;
- Client and internal stakeholders receive clear, concise, and actionable recommendations rather than descriptive reporting alone;
- Emerging risks and improvement opportunities are identified proactively;
- Client challenges that could benefit from additional Stefanini capabilities are recognized and effectively connected with the appropriate teams;
- Business analysis contributes to presales, solution development, and client-growth conversations where relevant;
- Business Analyst methods, templates, and ways of working become more consistent and effective;
- Less-experienced Business Analysts receive useful mentoring, knowledge sharing, and review support;
- The Senior Business Analyst demonstrates increasing readiness for broader client, delivery, and people-leadership responsibilities.
