The Bangalore Treasury team is a newly established regional hub supporting Treasury activities across APAC and EMEA. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting growth journey, helping to build a scalable Treasury function while gaining broad exposure to liquidity management, funding, collateral, risk management, and treasury transformation initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and business lines.
Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
This Treasury role supports business activities across APAC and EMEA, providing broad exposure to liquidity management, funding, cash optimization, collateral and margin management, client asset oversight, and Treasury reporting. The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing day-to-day Treasury activities, monitoring financial risks, and driving process improvements while partnering closely with Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
The role offers opportunities to work with colleagues across APAC and EMEA within a Follow-the-Sun operating model, combining operational oversight with strategic initiatives focused on liquidity optimization, automation, risk management, and scalable Treasury processes to support regional growth.
Primary duties will include:
Liquidity and Cash Management
Monitor daily cash positions and ensure adequate funding across bank accounts and currencies.
Support cash flow forecasting, liquidity reporting, and funding requirements.
Execute bank transfers, internal funding movements, and margin-related payments.
Assist in optimizing CCP, broker, and bank balances.
Monitor liquidity and currency exposures within internal and regulatory limits
Support client deposit processing and settlement obligations.
Collateral, Margin and Client Asset Support
Support collateral and margin management with exchanges, brokers, liquidity providers, and clients.
Assist with safeguarding customer funds and assets.
Support timely settlement of margin and collateral requirements.
Reconciliations and Intercompany Support
Perform daily bank and cash reconciliations.
Monitor payment service provider balances and settlements.
Support intercompany balance reviews and funding settlements.
Reconcile Treasury-related interest and transactions.
Reporting and Process Improvement
Prepare liquidity, cash, funding, and client money reports.
Support management reporting and data integrity across Treasury systems.
Maintain Treasury records and documentation.
Identify opportunities for process automation and operational improvements.
Systems and Cross-Functional Support
Support Treasury Management System processes for payments, liquidity management, and reporting.
Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Operations, Technology, and business teams across APAC and EMEA.
Escalate funding, liquidity, reconciliation, and operational issues promptly.
Qualifications
To land this role you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related discipline.
2 to 5 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, FX, Operations or a related financial services role.
Cross Border and Correspondent Banking SWIFT payments experience (MT103,199,202,940)
Good understanding of cash management, bank transfers, reconciliations and liquidity reporting.
