The Bangalore Treasury team is a newly established regional hub supporting Treasury activities across APAC and EMEA. This role offers the opportunity to be part of an exciting growth journey, helping to build a scalable Treasury function while gaining broad exposure to liquidity management, funding, collateral, risk management, and treasury transformation initiatives across multiple jurisdictions and business lines.

Responsibilities

Job Purpose:

This Treasury role supports business activities across APAC and EMEA, providing broad exposure to liquidity management, funding, cash optimization, collateral and margin management, client asset oversight, and Treasury reporting. The successful candidate will take a lead role in managing day-to-day Treasury activities, monitoring financial risks, and driving process improvements while partnering closely with Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and business stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.

The role offers opportunities to work with colleagues across APAC and EMEA within a Follow-the-Sun operating model, combining operational oversight with strategic initiatives focused on liquidity optimization, automation, risk management, and scalable Treasury processes to support regional growth.

Liquidity, Funding and Cash Optimization

• Oversee liquidity positions and funding requirements across entities, currencies, and business lines.
• Analyse liquidity trends and support funding, contingency planning, and cash optimization initiatives.
• Execute and review Treasury transactions, including money market placements, deposits, and intercompany funding.
• Support management of bank facilities, funding structures, and liquidity resources.
• Monitor compliance with funding limits, liquidity requirements, and Treasury policies.

Collateral, Margin and Client Asset Oversight

• Oversee collateral and margin activities with exchanges, brokers, liquidity providers, and clients.
• Review CCP, broker, and bank balances to optimize liquidity utilization.
• Support safeguarding of client funds and assets in accordance with regulatory and internal requirements.
• Identify funding or collateral pressures and coordinate timely escalation and resolution.

Investment Portfolio and Financial Risk Support

• Monitor investment portfolios to ensure alignment with liquidity objectives and risk appetite.
• Evaluate investment and cash optimization opportunities within approved guidelines.
• Monitor interest rate, foreign exchange, and counterparty credit risk exposures.
• Support hedging activities and contribute to Treasury governance, policies, and controls.

Reporting, Analytics and Process Improvement

• Prepare and review Treasury reports for management, stakeholders, and regulatory purposes.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, analytics, and financial models to support decision-making.
• Provide insights into liquidity, funding, collateral, and risk exposures.
• Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhancements to reporting and data quality.

Regional and Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Finance, Risk, Operations, Technology, and business teams across APAC and EMEA.
• Support Treasury systems, payment processes, liquidity management, and reporting capabilities.
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members and support knowledge sharing across the Follow-the-Sun model.
• Contribute to Treasury transformation initiatives and scalable processes that support regional growth.

Qualifications

To land this role you will need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related quantitative field. CFA, FRM or MBA would be advantageous.
• 5+ years of experience in Corporate Treasury, Finance, Risk Management, Operations or a related role within financial services.
• Cross Border and Correspondent Banking SWIFT payments experience (MT103,199,202,940)
• Strong understanding of financial markets, treasury operations, FX, fixed income, derivatives, collateral and funding activities.
• Experience in liquidity forecasting, cash management, funding, collateral, margin and reconciliations.

What makes you stand out:

• Advanced Excel skills for financial modelling and data analysis.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python or other analytics tools would be advantageous.
• Exposure to brokerage, capital markets, banking, client money or collateral processes would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain Treasury, liquidity and data-driven information clearly to different stakeholders.
