Senior Full Stack Engineer (PHP/JavaScript)
Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer (PHP/JavaScript) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe.
Our client is a fully integrated mobile invoicing and payments platform that allows small and medium-sized businesses to generate and pay invoices on the go using a phone or tablet. The client offers a mobile app and desktop management tool used by over 400,000 customers in 121 countries, designed to help field service and contractor businesses worldwide get paid faster. Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, they are revolutionizing how field service businesses get paid by providing a simple yet powerful interface and unbeatable payment processing rates.
Working hours: Daily team meetings are held at 18:30 CET time. The developer is expected to be available online from 14:00 to 18:30 CET time. The remaining 3.5 hours of the working day can be scheduled flexibly at the developer's discretion.
Requirements:
5+ years of relevant experience with PHP, MySQL, and JavaScript.
Experience with Amazon Web Services and third-party API integration is a must.
Strong knowledge of the PHP OOP model.
Deep understanding of SQL databases, indexes, and complex queries, preferably with MySQL (MariaDB/Aurora).
Understanding of Unit testing and experience in test writing.
Understanding of the JavaScript event model, strong knowledge of Vanilla JS from ES5 to the latest ES specifications.
Good knowledge and understanding of HTML/CSS.
Comfortable with the basics of the Linux environment.
Experience in working on production-level systems that have an active user base.
Nice to have:
Understanding of service-oriented architecture.
Experience with ORM (Eloquent ORM or Laravel framework is a big plus).
Knowledge of TypeScript.
Expertise in design chops.
Experience with Java, C#, Swift, Objective-C, and Go (with knowledge of any or all of these).
Responsibilities:
Design and implement new APIs and extend the functionality of existing ones.
Integrate with various 3rd party services, from analytics to payment processors.
Provide database structure and query research and optimization.
Run the report and internal analytics implementation.
Develop front-end website architecture.
Ensure cross-platform optimization.
Confirm the responsiveness of the application.
Write unit tests for sensitive parts of your code.
