AI Solutions Developer

We are seeking a hands-on AI Solutions Developer to build and integrate AI-enabled capabilities into backend services. You will work with large language models to automate the generation of complex summaries from structured and unstructured data. This role focuses on designing reliable, secure, and audit-ready features within a regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-enabled features that generate client summaries using OpenAI APIs and similar LLM providers.
• Integrate LLM calls into backend services, managing prompt construction, model selection, and structured JSON outputs.
• Retrieve and shape data from SQL databases and internal APIs to provide necessary context for model processing.
• Design and iterate on prompts and templates while building evaluation frameworks to ensure accuracy and prevent hallucinations.
• Expose AI capabilities through clean, scalable RESTful backend APIs for cross-team consumption.
• Implement responsible AI guardrails, including PII redaction, prompt-injection defenses, and audit logging.
• Collaborate with engineering, business analysts, and compliance teams to validate outputs and define requirements.
• Utilize AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to accelerate development workflows.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java with Spring Boot or Python with FastAPI/Flask.
• Hands-on experience with OpenAI APIs, including chat completions, function calling, and embeddings.
• Practical experience in prompt engineering and iterating for reliable, structured output.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design, JSON, and SQL database integration.
• Strong engineering fundamentals including Git version control and writing maintainable, testable code.
• Awareness of data privacy, PII handling, and security best practices in a regulated environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
