L2 Production Support Engineer – Java/Python, Cloud, Agile & Technical Troubleshooting

Job Summary

Synechron is seeking an L2 Production Support Engineer with 4 years of experience in software development, technology platforms, and technical support. The role will support the analysis, troubleshooting, enhancement, and maintenance of technology solutions across platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain. The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements, investigate technical issues, support software delivery, review code, and help maintain solution quality. The role will contribute to business objectives through timely issue resolution, reliable technical support, effective documentation, and continuous improvement of software solutions.

Software Requirements

Required

Overall Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technology requirements and design solutions that meet business needs.
• Provide L2 technical support by investigating, troubleshooting, and assisting with the resolution of application and technology issues.
• Develop technical specifications and detailed documentation for new features, enhancements, support procedures, and technical resolutions.
• Write, test, and deploy software solutions or enhancements as required by the project.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Participate in daily stand-up meetings, project planning sessions, support discussions, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze business and technology requirements, design solutions, write or modify code, and support testing and deployment activities.
• Participate in code reviews, investigate technical issues, provide L2 support, and document solutions, specifications, and operational procedures.
• Prioritize support and development tasks, make implementation decisions within established standards, and escalate risks affecting service quality, security, or delivery.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required; equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered.
• 4 years of experience in software development, technology support, or a related technical discipline.
• Demonstrated experience with one or more of Java, Python, or Node.js, along with SDLC, Agile methodologies, Git, JIRA, and Confluence.
• Certifications in cloud, software development, Agile delivery, cybersecurity, IoT, blockchain, or related technology areas are preferred but not mandatory.
• Maintain continuous professional development in relevant technology platforms, programming, production support, troubleshooting, Agile delivery, and modern software engineering practices.
