RPGLE Developer

Position: RPGLE Developer

Experience: 4-10 Years

Work Location: Noida / Pune / Bangalore

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using RPGLE, ILE RPG, CLP, and DB2 on IBM i (AS/400) platform.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Perform application support, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Develop and modify database files, stored procedures, and reports.
• Work closely with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards.
• Support production deployments and provide post-implementation assistance.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in RPGLE, ILE RPG, Free Format RPG, CLLE, and DB2/400.
• Good understanding of IBM i (AS/400) environment.
• Experience in application maintenance, enhancements, and production support.
• Knowledge of SQL, embedded SQL, and database design concepts.
• Experience with debugging, performance optimization, and incident resolution.
• Understanding of SDLC, change management, and version control processes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Banking, Financial Services, Insurance, or Retail domains.
• Exposure to APIs, web services, and application integration.
• Knowledge of Aldon, TurnOver, or other IBM i change management tools.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
