We at Talented are now looking for an AI-savvy Head of Product to work for our impressive customer - Venuu - the online marketplace reimagining how people get together to celebrate life’s special moments. Each month, they help over 400,000 people to book venues and services for their life’s events.

Venuu is far away from being just an early-stage startup searching for product-market fit; they are a solid business operating in 5 markets across Europe with a team of 30 and a marketplace GMV of approximately 20M€ per year. Right now, they are in the midst of a critical transition: moving from a "business-ops heavy" model into a technology-first organisation. Venuu isn’t just building a website; they are building an AI-leveraged Operating System for the entire event industry.

The Role:

We are looking for a Product Generalist; Designer, and AI-Builder in one Package. You are a Design Engineer who refuses to be siloed. You’ll join the company's Leadership Team, taking full ownership of our product strategy and visual direction, while acting as the strategic lead for our developers. You will be the bridge between the vision and execution. You will work very closely with Jaakko, CEO of Venuu.

• Act as the primary "filter" between the CEO, business operations, and the user base, translating high-level business needs into high-impact, visual product roadmaps that can be understood at a glance, with a clear link between technical tasks and business results

• Coordinate closely with international teams in Finland and Spain to ensure product features solve local user pains while maintaining global scalability

• Prioritize feature development based on commercial viability and "80/20" value delivery, ensuring engineering efforts are always tied to user desirability

• You stand behind the user. You observe their screen, spot the silent friction points they can't articulate, and translate those insights into solutions

• Design how users interact with Venuu AI agents. This isn't just a chatbox; it’s about building the prompts, constraints, and feedback loops that make Venuu’s AI reliable and helpful

• You are able to quickly bring your vision to functional prototypes. You provide the tangible "vibe" and logic of a feature so it can be aligned with internal stakeholders and users before production code ever begins

• Lead the visual direction and user experience for the entire platform, prioritizing functional logic and user retention

• Transform Venuu’s development team into a high-velocity, AI-augmented unit. You’ll facilitate agile rituals (Sprints, Linear), ensuring engineering velocity aligns perfectly with product roadmap

• Enforce Radical Openness: Dismantle the "black box" of development. Foster a "Glass House" culture. Partner with the Founding Engineer and Senior Developers to ensure that high-speed prototypes can be successfully transitioned into robust, production-grade code

You:

You are a rare breed-a world-class UX Designer and a front-end developer in one package. You don't just hand over static mockups; you understand how the browser works. Whether you are a trained front-end developer (React/TS) or a high-agency "Vibecoder" who uses AI to ship functional products, you understand how the browser works. You don't just hand over static mockups; you provide the "Technical Weight" and functional clarity that senior engineers respect. You aren't emotionally attached to your ideas; you are attached to their results

• You’ve gone deep into vibe-coding and vibe-designing. You use Cursor and Claude to test the limits of what’s possible

• You have 5 to 10 years in UX/Product and an eye for what is intuitive and useful. You are obsessed with Information Architecture and how to structure data so that both humans and AI can navigate it effortlessly

• You treat technical constraints as design parameters and prioritize the "95% use case" to keep the product simple and intuitive

• You have a "closed-loop" mentality. You use data to find the "where" (identifying issues), your judgment to design the "how" (building solutions), and metrics to analyze the "impact" (knowing when to pivot)

• You are a "Researcher" by nature - unafraid to talk to users, dive into the database, and find the truth yourself. You listen to everyone but accept no explanation without validating it yourself first

• As a future member of our Leadership Team, you don’t just follow our culture - you embody and elevate it. We are a high-intensity strike team that plays for keeps. You possess a growth mindset and grit, owning outcomes rather than tasks. You thrive on radical candor and vulnerability - demanding and delivering honest feedback to maintain world-class standards. What would be beneficial to both parties:

• You’ve carried the title "Product Manager" (or have felt the calling in your heart) or operated as the Product Owner (PO) and know how to run a systematic roadmap with sprints, deadlines, and accountability

• You’ve built your own projects or thrived as an early-stage hire. You operate in "Founder Mode" when the handbook doesn't exist

• You have enough technical curiosity to study it as a craft. If you're a regular listener of Lenny’s Podcast, 20VC, or Acquired, you’ll have a lot to talk about with Jaakko!

Anything else?

Venuu’s centric Helsinki office is in Fenniakortteli right next to the Central Railway Station. This role is based in Helsinki with regular travels to our Barcelona office. Frequent travel is a requirement in this position to stay fully synced with the CEO and our international operations. We believe the best teams are built through frequent face-to-face communication. We would love to see you joining us at the office multiple times a week to brainstorm, build, and learn together. Venuu is a workplace already for over 30 professionals.

A fixed salary for this role is between €6,000 - €7,500/mo + possible other compensation after value has been proven.

The recruitment is done in co-operation between Talented & Venuu.

2. CEO interview: 1-hour video interview on your Design workflow, views on AI, and commercial mindset (share a portfolio or prototypes before this interview!), while learning a bit more about the culture of the Venuu

3. Peer Interview: 1-hour video interview with Country Managers, Isak and Karoliina.

4. Team Round: Meet Founding Engineer Vesa and the rest of the Dev team face-to-face in Helsinki

5. Final Alignment: Coffee or beer with the CEO and Chair of the Board!
