Position: Enterprise Architect AI & Cloud Engineering

Job Details:

Senior Enterprise Architect to lead technical strategy and architecture across a multi project digital portfolio for a major telecom client. This is a hands on architecture role requiring strong technical leadership, solution design, engineering governance, cloud expertise, and AI/Generative AI experience.

The architect will lead engineering teams technically, establish engineering standards, develop HLDs/LLDs, resolve complex technical challenges, and communicate architectural decisions and trade offs to stakeholders ranging from developers to CIO level leadership.

Mandatory: At least one end to end AI solution implemented using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) in a production or production like environment.

• Define architecture and solution strategy across multiple projects, balancing scalability, performance, maintainability, security and cost.
• Develop and maintain HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, technical specifications and solution decision records.
• Lead engineering teams through architectural direction, design reviews, technical problem solving and mentoring.
• Establish engineering standards, reusable architectural patterns and governance practices.
• Identify technical debt and drive prioritized remediation plans.
• Lead architecture and delivery of AI/GenAI solutions, particularly RAG based applications.
• Guide teams through the AI development lifecycle covering design, build, evaluation, deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Define AI evaluation criteria including relevance, accuracy, groundedness, hallucination rate, latency and cost.
• Establish AI testing, observability and quality monitoring while addressing privacy, security and responsible AI requirements.
• Provide architectural guidance across microservices, distributed systems, React, cloud native services, DevOps and CI/CD.
• Drive security first architecture & DevSecOps practices, including quality gates, deployment controls and monitoring.
• Evaluate architectural options & clearly communicate recommendations, risks, dependencies and trade offs.
• Partner with client technical teams, Security, Engineering, DevOps, Analytics, Operations, PMO and delivery leadership.
• Support technical estimation, planning, dependency management and delivery risk management.
• Guide Operations on critical Blocker/P1 incidents and support post production monitoring and analytics.
• 12+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in enterprise/solution architecture or senior technical leadership.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams & architecture decisions across concurrent projects.
• Mandatory hands on experience delivering at least one end to end RAG based AI solution.
• Strong understanding of GenAI, AI development lifecycle, AI evaluation and production monitoring.
• Strong architecture experience with microservices, distributed systems and React.
• Hands on architecture experience with GCP, AWS or Azure; GCP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, DevSecOps, automated quality gates and secure software architecture.
• Proven experience producing HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams and technical decision documentation.
• Experience with estimation, planning, technical risk management and cross functional delivery.
• Strong problem solving, stakeholder management, executive communication skills.
• Preferred: LLM observability, responsible AI frameworks, vector databases, embedding pipelines, event driven architecture, API gateways, service mesh, SRE & Infrastructure as Code.
• Telecom or large enterprise digital experience is preferred.

Salary:

Full-time: The pay range for this role is $130k - $170k per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
