Job Summary

Position - Cloud Platform and Engineering Lead

Location - Goregaon, Mumbai

Role Highlights:

Role Purpose

You will define and architect a secure, scalable, and AI-ready cloud platform that forms the backbone of client insurance business. This role combines deep expertise in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and automation to build a platform that enables rapid innovation while maintaining strong governance and resilience.

You are expected to build from the ground up, establish standards, and create a platform that seamlessly supports both business growth and regulatory compliance. You will act as the primary builder of the cloud platform, working closely with Security and Governance teams to ensure controls are implemented, validated, and auditable.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Architecture

You will design a cloud architecture strategy that aligns with regulatory requirements, scalability needs, and long-term business growth ambitions.

You will define and implement landing zones, ensuring proper environment isolation, network segmentation, and secure connectivity across all workloads.

You will build and evolve an Internal Developer Platform (IDP) that enables engineers to provision infrastructure and services through self-service capabilities with built-in guardrails.

You will establish standard patterns for containerization using Kubernetes and serverless architectures, ensuring consistency, scalability, and operational efficiency across workloads.

Security by Design

You will implement a Zero Trust security model that enforces identity-first access, continuous verification, and least-privilege principles across users, devices, and workloads.

You will define and operationalize enterprise-wide frameworks for identity and access management (IAM), privileged access management (PAM), secrets management, encryption, and key lifecycle management.

You will embed security controls into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring vulnerabilities are identified and mitigated early.

You will design and implement security controls into the platform while ensuring these controls are independently validated at runtime by the Cloud Security Lead and audited by the Governance Lead.

AI-Native Enablement

You will design infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads, including GPU-enabled environments and scalable pipelines.

You will establish a secure MLOps ecosystem in collaboration with AI teams.

You will leverage AI-driven capabilities for anomaly detection and automated response within the platform.

Platform Engineering & Automation

You will implement all infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code principles.

You will establish a GitOps-based operating model for deployments.

You will build reusable modules, golden templates, and standardized blueprints.

You will promote an automation-first culture eliminating manual processes.

DevOps & Release Engineering

You will design and implement CI/CD pipelines that support progressive delivery models such as blue-green and canary deployments.

You will embed resilience practices like chaos engineering and failure testing into the delivery lifecycle.

Governance & Compliance

You will define architectural guardrails balancing agility with control.

You will work closely with the Governance & Resilience Lead to ensure adherence to IRDAI and regulatory requirements and enable continuous compliance through policy-as-code.

You will partner with audit and risk teams to ensure the platform remains compliant by design and continuously auditable.

Experience & Skills

You bring 7-15 years of experience in cloud architecture, infrastructure, and security.

You demonstrate strong hyperscaler and Kubernetes expertise.

You have implemented Zero Trust and DevSecOps models in enterprise environments.

Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure is advantageous.
