Job Summary

This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking to hire Senior Backend SDET in Canada (WFH), immediately who has strong experience in Java, Python, RestAssured or Karate, Selenium / Playwright, Scala.

Role Overview

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing.

• Good ability to adapt and improve (will join using Yaapita which is an internal tool, may upgrade to another library like RestAssured or Karate).

• Test Case Management: Jira.

• Repository: GitHub.

• Code Management: Git.

Must Have:

• REST API Libraries for testing (RestAssured, Karate, etc.).

• Selenium/Playwright.

• Programming language: Java.

• Test Runner experience: TestNG

• CI/CD: Git Hub Actions (Or Jenkins at least)

• Knowledge in cloud technologies, preferably GCP or Azure.

• End-to-End testing experience.

• Basic knowledge of Non-SQL DB (MongoDB preferred).

• Python experience.

Nice to have:

• Docker/Kubernetes.

• Databricks (Python) testing experience.

• E-commerce experience.

• Back-end asynchronous testing experience: Kafka.

Behavior Skills:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams, including back end and front-end developers, QAs, and product managers.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

• Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Strong attention to detail, with a focus to high-quality deliverables.

The pay range for this role is CAD $90,000 - CAD $120,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
