Job Description (JD) - Software Development Tech Lead (Grade 6)
Position Title: Software Development Tech Lead (Grade 6)
Department: Software Engineering/Development
Reports To: Engineering Manager/Head of Development
Location: Gurgaon

Job Summary:
The Software Development Tech Lead is responsible for overseeing a development team, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. The role involves hands-on coding, mentoring team members, ensuring technical excellence, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. The Tech Lead will drive technical decisions, enforce best practices, and ensure alignment with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, and deploying software applications.
• Provide technical leadership, including hands-on coding, code reviews, and architecture design.
• Ensure adherence to software development best practices and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and technical solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
• Manage technical risks, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the team meets project deadlines.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the team uses modern tools and approaches.
• Software Quality tool: SonarQube

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of software development experience with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proficiency in [programming languages, e.g., NODE, REACT, PGSQL, Python etc] and software development frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture, design patterns, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), microservices, and API development.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and development tools (Jira, Git, etc.).
