Audio Visual System Engineer

The AV Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliable operation of in-house audio, visual and video conferencing systems across meeting rooms, training rooms, and events.

The role provides technical support, user training, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance to deliver a seamless user experience.

It also supports AV upgrades and office relocation projects, coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors on system integration, testing and commissioning, repairs, and project documentation.

1. In-house AV Facilities Support

• Provide operational support for meeting room & training room AV systems and video conferencing platforms.

• Understand user requirements and provide support for events.

• Provide training to the users of the AV systems and ensure their satisfaction.

• Provide on-site AV system troubleshooting and resolve technical issues during operation.

2. AV Maintenance

• Ensure all meeting rooms, training rooms and AV facilities remain functional and ready for use.

• Provide maintenance checks.

• Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to reduce recurring incidents.

• Escalate complex issues to AV vendors when required.

• Manage warranty claims and equipment repairs.

3. AV Projects

• Participate in AV projects like office relocation and AV system upgrades.

• Act as the primary liaison between the company and AV vendors.

• Coordinate with different parties to gather required information and documents.

• Participate in equipment delivery, testing & commissioning (T&C), and project documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in the AV industry / support.

Knowledge

Technical Knowledge

• Interpreting and understanding proposal documents, schematic and E&M drawings.

• Knowledge in AV integration systems including Network, Amplifier, Loudspeaker, Microphone, Mixer, Matrix, Video Projector, LED Display and Control System.

• Knowledge in collaboration platforms like MS Teams.

• Proven experience in the configuration and operation of a broad range of AV technologies, including AV over IP, audio & video system automation systems and digital signage.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, QSC, Shure, Extron, BrightSign, and other AV software is an added advantage.

• Certification in any of CTS, QSC, Shure, Extron, AMX and Crestron is an added advantage.
