HR Business Partner

TeKnowledge is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to work with the Country HR Manager, HR team, and site leaders to align HR objectives with business operations. The role involves managing daily HR activities, supporting managers and employees, leading HR programs, ensuring legal compliance, and promoting a high-performance workplace culture.

• Advise managers and department heads on HR matters and employee relations.
• Manage employee relations issues and ensure fair resolution in line with company policies and labor laws.
• Ensure compliance with Rwanda labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies.
• Implement and improve HR procedures, programs, and operational processes.
• Prepare employment contracts, termination documents, severance payments, and other HR documents.
• Support payroll processing and coordinate with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Administer employee benefits and support benefit program development and communication.
• Support employee onboarding, induction, and orientation.
• Prepare HR reports, statistics, and workforce information.
• Work with recruitment, training, operations, accounting, IT, and global HR teams.
• Support HR technology solutions and organizational change management.
• Promote employee engagement, workplace culture, confidentiality, and health and safety.
• Build strong relationships with employees, managers, and other stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3–5 years of experience as an HR Business Partner.
• Experience with HR Information Systems (HRIS) and end-to-end payroll processing.
• Hands-on experience with the Sage payroll system.
• Experience administering Human Resources programs.
• Strong understanding of Rwanda labor laws, employment practices, and HR compliance.
• Experience supporting employee relations, performance management, and workforce planning.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
• Self-motivated, flexible, proactive, and able to work effectively in a team.
