Job Description

Your contribution

As Service Manager at FLIR Sweden AB (Täby), you will lead a skilled team of thermography service technicians and Customer Service Representatives (CSRs). Together, you will deliver repair, calibration, and restoration services that ensure exceptional customer experiences and uphold Teledyne FLIR’s reputation for reliability.

This role is critical to our Service business: you will establish business goals, optimize resources, and contribute to policy and procedure development initiatives that drive growth. Your leadership will directly impact customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, and revenue performance, while fostering collaboration across regional teams and adjacent departments.

  • Build and lead teams while developing processes to deliver outstanding customer service
  • Establish and manage daily work priorities, delegating assignments and adjusting resources to meet business needs
  • Oversee employee time and attendance, support conflict resolution, and foster adherence to company values
  • Develop team members through coaching, one-to-one check-ins, and annual performance appraisals
  • Promote cross-training and skill development to enhance capacity with existing resources
  • Manage administration of all service activities using SAP and related enterprise applications
  • Apply business acumen to identify and promote service offerings that drive growth while maintaining cost controls
  • Track and report monthly Key Performance Indicators; analyze trends and recommend process improvements
  • Manage operating expenditures with a focus on cost reduction; provide input for annual budget submissions
  • Ensure compliance with ISO Quality standards and Global Trade Compliance policies
  • Coordinate with adjacent departments to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Foster collaboration within the regional Service group and identify opportunities for improvement

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

  • Bachelor’s degree in electronics technology or a related discipline
  • Significant experience in thermography service with expert knowledge of advanced thermal imaging systems
  • Extensive leadership experience with direct report responsibility
  • Experience working within an ISO 9001 environment
  • Strong understanding of Global Trade Compliance policies and best practices
  • Familiarity with Jurisdiction Classification processes
  • Hands-on experience with SAP PR1 Customer Service Module and ticketing platforms
  • Proven ability to analyze requirements and develop processes/policies to support new product introductions
  • Experience in developing and managing operating budgets with a focus on cost control
  • In-depth knowledge of metrology and calibration laboratory operations for thermal imaging products, compliant with NIST regulations
