You'll lead a team of highly skilled platform engineers, ensuring our cloud services are secure, resilient, observable, and easy for engineering teams across the organisation to consume.
You'll work closely with architecture, security, product, engineering, and operational teams to create a modern cloud platform that accelerates delivery while maintaining the highest standards of reliability, governance, and operational excellence.

- Drive platform engineering best practices, including Infrastructure as Code, automation and self-service capabilities.
- Own AWS landing zones, cloud governance frameworks, guardrails and operational standards.
- Ensure the platform meets security, compliance, resilience, availability and scalability requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party partners to support successful delivery and operational performance.
- Drive continuous improvement across cloud operations, reliability, observability, incident management, resilience testing and disaster recovery.
- Optimise cloud spend through effective FinOps practices, capacity management and cost-efficiency initiatives.
What we’re looking for (minimum criteria)
- Proven leadership of platform, cloud or infrastructure engineering teams within enterprise-scale AWS environments.
- Ownership of platform strategy, roadmaps, technology investment decisions and cloud cost optimisation (FinOps).
- Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform and AWS CloudFormation.
- Experience designing and operating resilient, secure, highly available cloud platforms, with deep knowledge of networking, IAM, AWS Organisations, Control Tower and security controls.
- Technical expertise across EKS/container platforms, CI/CD automation, platform APIs, self-service provisioning and observability solutions.
- Proven delivery of SRE practices, monitoring standards, operational telemetry and incident/service recovery management.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management, building effective partnerships across engineering, architecture, security, business and senior leadership teams.
- Inspirational people leader who creates clarity and direction, fosters accountability, drives continuous improvement, makes data-driven decisions and develops high-performing teams.
We welcome applications from everyone. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you.
