About the role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed directly with our customers and work side by side with their data and engineering teams. Given the size and complexity of our typical customer profile, this is a role that requires great communication skills and technical versatility. Each customer has unique needs that we have not seen before.
What you'll do
Own data ingestion and analysis for our customers, adapting to their complex needs.
You will serve as a main point of contact and bridge between the customer technical teams and the Trebellar core engineering teams.
You will work closely with a Forward Deployed Consultant who brings subject-matter expertise, and Trebellar's product team to scope, build, implement and deliver features to our customers.
What we're looking for
We seek versatile candidates with expertise in data processing able to contribute across the stack.
10+ years experience, 5+ of which must demonstrate data ingestion and manipulation (ETL, import/export API design and implementation, ....)
You must be able to understand and analyse complex data sets, as well as debug complex scenarios.
You have experience in high volume data ingestion and data processing, ideally both real time and batch.
You have excellent communication and organization skills, since you will be a key point of contact with the customers.
You are self driven. Your work will be part of a team, but you are joining a Start-up where everybody has a high degree of sufficiency once the main goals are agreed with the team.
Proficiency in typescript and familiarity with the most common javascript/typescript stacks.
Backend/API development skills - A solid foundation and understanding on interacting with backend services.
Good understanding of common systems architecture for data processing.
Familiarity with Cloud/Docker/k8s/... and related DevOps technologies
