Overview
As a Solutions Engineer, you act as the technical bridge between our Sales teams and enterprise customers. You own the technical relationship throughout the pre-sales cycle and play a key role in winning new business by providing clear, practical and hands-on technical guidance - onsite, virtually and remotely.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a trusted technical advisor to customers and partners throughout the sales cycle
Lead and execute Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and support the implementation of Trend Micro solutions
Deliver compelling technical demonstrations of Trend Cloud solutions and integrations across AWS, Azure and GCP
Design and explain solutions to complex cloud and cybersecurity challenges
Build and maintain strong technical relationships with enterprise customers and strategic partners
Support alliance initiatives, beta programs and the continuous development of SE best practices
Build internal technical readiness and develop subject matter expertise across Trend Micro technologies
Travel regionally up to approximately 30-35%
Your Profile
We are open to two types of candidates:
Early-Career Technologists
Technical professionals with a background in architecture, software development, networking or systems engineering who are looking to transition into a customer-facing Sales Engineering role within Cybersecurity.
Experienced Sales Engineers / Security Specialists
Professionals bringing:
3+ years of experience in Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering or Professional Services
3+ years of experience working with cybersecurity products and technologies, such as firewalls, antivirus, IDS/IPS or content security
Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure and/or GCP environments
Experience in SOC, Incident Response or security operations is a strong plus
Desirable Skills & Certifications
CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP or comparable security certifications
AWS certifications
Solid understanding of security incidents, cloud architectures and security best practices
Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell and/or Bash
Excellent communication, presentation and customer-facing skills
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, collaborative approach
