• Be responsible for enhancing the security and resilience of full-stack applications by addressing vulnerabilities and ensuring the overall system's integrity.

What You Will Be Doing

• Address security vulnerabilities across the entire technology stack, including upgrading dependencies, fixing code-level issues, securing credentials, and enhancing container/Kubernetes security.

• Write thorough tests for each fix, covering both unit testing for vulnerability closure and functional verification to ensure feature functionality.

• Take ownership of software upgrades end to end, by troubleshooting issues post major version updates and seeing them through to completion.

• Document upgrade processes effectively to provide insights and prevent redundancy within the team.

• Collaborate with multiple teams and repositories to ensure seamless integration of security solutions and updates.

• Coordinate credential rotations safely in collaboration with DevOps teams for optimized security practices.

• Offer informed judgment on security-related matters and implement automation for streamlined dependency updates.

Skills and Qualifications (Must-Haves)

• Possess 3-5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong background in C# /.NET and experience working with ASP.NET Core web applications.

• Proficient in TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks like Angular, with transferable skills to React or Vue.

• Solid understanding of SQL and experience with writing queries, parameterization, and using ORMs.

• Habitual practice of writing tests, both unit tests, and integration/end-to-end testing.

• Proficient with Git for branching, rebasing, and maintaining clean commits.

• Comfortable with reading and navigating diverse codebases.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for effective collaboration.

• Genuine interest and knowledge of application security practices.

Bonus Points for (Nice-to-Haves)

• Previous experience in security remediation, secure code review, or vulnerability analysis.

• Familiarity with Docker and its security configurations.

• Experience with authentication and authorization protocols like OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and JWT.

• Exposure to Java or Python.
