Ultimate HR Solutions (UHRS) is hiring a Terminal Civil Project Engineer for a prestigious and well-established organization in the UAE.

Job Purpose

To manage civil and structural works for fuel storage terminals and pipeline projects, ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery within approved budgets, timelines, and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct site inspections and assess project requirements, existing structures, and site conditions.
• Review civil and structural drawings, designs, specifications, and technical documents.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Support tendering activities, technical evaluations, preparation of bills of quantities (BOQs), and contractor assessments.
• Monitor construction progress, project schedules, costs, and contractor performance.
• Supervise civil works involving foundations, storage tank areas, drainage, roads, buildings, pipe racks, and related infrastructure.
• Inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, HSEQ, and other engineering teams to minimize disruption to ongoing terminal operations.
• Ensure compliance with site safety procedures, work permits, environmental controls, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate required permits, inspections, and approvals with relevant authorities.
• Monitor project risks, resolve site issues, and report delays or technical concerns to management.
• Review contractor claims, variations, progress reports, and completed work records.
• Coordinate project handover, including inspections, defect closure, as-built drawings, and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.

Experience

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil or structural project engineering and site delivery.
• At least 3 years of experience in fuel terminals, oil and gas, ports, pipelines, utilities, or similar industrial infrastructure.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, BOQs, technical submissions, method statements, inspection plans, and project schedules.
• Practical knowledge of reinforced concrete, steel structures, foundations, geotechnical works, drainage, and earthworks.
• Experience working on live industrial sites and coordinating contractors is essential.
• UAE project experience and familiarity with local authority approvals are preferred.
• Experience with storage tank foundations, containment bunds, pipeline crossings, pipe racks, or terminal rehabilitation is an advantage.
