Job Overview & Responsibilities

As an Information Technology Intern at United Launch Alliance you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to:

• Gain experience as developers, designers, or information technology specialists to develop their skills to deploy technology solutions that solve problems for businesses and organizations.
• Utilize their technical and analytical skills, demonstrate effective communication techniques and project development knowledge to perform activities throughout the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) such as: requirements analysis & definition, application design and development, system test planning and execution, deployment planning, and documentation.
• Support one or more experienced business professionals in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of the business side of the aerospace industry.

Interns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!

Required Education

• At minimum completed Freshman year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.

• High School/GED

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. NOTE: An unofficial transcript is required if you are invited for an interview. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.

Role Specific Qualifications

• At minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred degree focus for this internship is in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Information or Computer Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Analytics, or relevant field of study.
  • Must have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.
  • Ability to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.
  • Must have an interest in learning any of the following:
  • Motivation or desire to learn AI Assisted coding, infrastructure build, and data analytics.
  • ERP System (Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance) - SAP
  • Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
  • Product Life Cycle Management (Siemens Team Center)
  • System Administration (Unix/Windows), Dev Ops, Automation, Cloud
  • Administration including scripting
  • Enterprise Security and user access management
  • Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Database Administration, Backup, and recovery
  • Routing, Firewalls, Switching, and Networking
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).
• Effective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:
  • Denver, CO

Summary Salary Range:

CO: $23.10 - $37.95

Please note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon a candidate's experience and qualifications, as well as internal equity, market and business considerations. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in addition to base pay.
