JOB PURPOSE

This role exists to protect consumer safety and product quality by leading the site Quality Management System, regulatory compliance, hygiene and food safety controls, testing, and continuous improvement. The role partners with manufacturing, suppliers, procurement, logistics and commercial teams to reduce quality losses, resolve consumer and customer issues, strengthen quality culture, and ensure innovations and changes are delivered with the right quality controls. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and maintain the site Quality Management System in line with Unilever standards, external requirements and local regulations.
  • Own site product incident management and ensure effective control of non-conforming materials and products, including identification, segregation, disposition and reprocessing.
  • Develop, validate and verify the site hazard control plan and prerequisite programs, including hygiene, pest control, allergen management and good manufacturing practices.
  • Ensure effective quality control from incoming materials through production and finished product, including sampling, testing, fill control, traceability and secure record keeping.
  • Ensure site laboratories, test methods, calibration and measuring equipment meet applicable company and regulatory requirements.
  • Review quality performance, scorecards, loss data, complaints and process capability results; lead structured actions to reduce recurring losses and close gaps.
  • Maintain readiness for company, customer and certification audits and complete required quality verification assessments accurately and on time.
  • Partner with suppliers, Procurement, Manufacturing, Technical, Logistics and Commercial teams to improve material, process, warehouse and distribution quality.
  • Provide quality support for innovation trials, technical projects and site changes, using risk assessment and clear quality plans through collaboration with project team and BU Quality.
  • Lead the site quality pillar and build a strong quality culture by setting priorities, coaching leaders, developing the Quality team and strengthening capability.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
  • 6-8 years of experience in Quality or Manufacturing.
  • Practical knowledge of quality systems, quality assurance and control, risk assessment, product non-conformance management and structured quality improvement.
  • Ability to interpret quality data, lead corrective actions, work across functions and influence a strong site quality culture.
  • Knowledge of consumer safety, hygiene controls, laboratory practices, traceability and applicable regulatory compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Hands-on manufacturing experience in a site-based environment.
  • Experience supporting audits, supplier quality, innovation projects and continuous improvement programs.
  • Experience with digital quality systems, manufacturing quality data and process capability analysis.
