Job overview and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Senior Salesforce Developer with strong hands-on expertise in Salesforce development, platform architecture, integrations, and Agentforce. The ideal candidate will design, develop, implement, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, and modern Salesforce development tools.

The candidate will contribute across the software development lifecycle (SDLC), including technical design, development, testing, deployment, optimization, monitoring, and production support. Experience with Salesforce Agentforce, AI-powered agents, automation, and integration with enterprise systems is highly desirable.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, an understanding of Salesforce architecture and governor limits, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into secure, high-quality technical solutions.

• Salesforce Development & Configuration: Design, develop, customize, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex Classes, Triggers, LWC, Aura, Visualforce, SOQL/SOSL, Flows, validation rules, duplicate rules, assignment rules, approval processes, and other declarative tools.
• Agentforce & AI Development: Design, configure, and implement Salesforce Agentforce solutions, including AI agents, topics, instructions, actions, and automation using Flow, Apex, and APIs. Apply prompt engineering, grounding, and appropriate guardrails to deliver reliable, secure, business-aligned AI experiences.
• System Integration & Data Migration: Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and external enterprise systems using REST/SOAP APIs, platform events, and middleware such as MuleSoft. Design data migration strategies, perform data transformations, and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Salesforce Architecture & Data Modeling: Design scalable data models, object relationships, security and sharing models, and solutions that meet complex business process and reporting requirements. Apply Salesforce architectural best practices and optimize performance within governor limits.
• Salesforce Cloud & Experience Development: Implement and enhance Sales Cloud and Salesforce Digital Experiences (Experience Cloud), including customer and partner portals, Lightning pages, reusable components, and responsive user interfaces.
• DevOps, Testing & Release Management: Manage source control and deployment processes using Salesforce CLI/SFDX, Git, CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins or GitHub Actions, and Scratch Orgs where appropriate. Develop unit tests, conduct code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and support automated deployments.

• Production Support & Continuous Improvement: Troubleshoot and resolve production defects, perform root-cause analysis, monitor solution performance, implement break/fix solutions, and continuously improve reliability, security, maintainability, and delivery efficiency.

This position is offered on local terms and conditions. Expatriate assignments and sponsorship for employment visas, even on a time-limited visa status, will not be awarded. This position is for United Airlines Business Services Pvt. Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of United Airlines Inc.

Qualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 6+ years of experience with Lightning Component development
• Technical expertise: Strong understanding of Salesforce application architecture, governor limits, bulkification, transaction management, asynchronous processing, and secure coding practices.
• Agentforce expertise: Ability to design AI-agent workflows, define topics and actions, configure instructions, connect agents to Salesforce data and business processes, and apply appropriate security controls and testing.
• Programming skills: Proficiency in Apex, LWC, JavaScript, SOQL/SOSL, HTML, CSS, and API-based integrations. Familiarity with Visualforce and Aura for maintaining existing applications.
• Declarative development: Expertise in Salesforce Flow, validation rules, approval processes, assignment rules, duplicate management, and automation design.
• Integration skills: Ability to design robust integrations with external systems, handle authentication and exceptions, and troubleshoot API failures.
• Quality and security: Understanding of Salesforce security, CRUD/FLS enforcement, sharing rules, secure API access, test coverage, code reviews, and performance optimization.
• Problem-solving: Strong analytical and debugging skills, with the ability to assess technical trade-offs and recommend maintainable solutions.
• Communication: Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to developers, business stakeholders, management, and end users.
• Execution and ownership: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, take initiative, meet deadlines, and contribute effectively in Agile teams.
• Documentation and collaboration: Ability to create technical design documents, deployment instructions, test plans, and knowledge-transfer materials.

• Experience leading technical design, mentoring developers, and delivering complex Salesforce projects.
• Salesforce Platform Developer II
• Hands-on implementation of Agentforce agents, topics, instructions, actions, Prompt Builder, grounding, and integrations with Apex, Flow, and external services.
• Experience building reusable frameworks, advanced Lightning components, and complex UI solutions.
• Experience with monitoring tools, log analysis, and performance testing.
• Candidates with Mulesoft experience will be preferred.
• Salesforce Advanced Developer certifications are highly preferred
• Using Angular JS based UI pages in Salesforce Visualforce pages.
• Strong preference for Salesforce Certifications
• Airlines industry experience
