The role   

We're looking for a visionary leader to join us as SVP, AI-Native Experience & Commerce Practice, responsible for defining the future of our Experience & Commerce capabilities across the Americas. This role will shape how we deliver client value through AI-native ways of working, modern platforms, and next-generation digital experiences.

This is a highly strategic leadership role with the potential to evolve into broader engineering leadership responsibility across the region.

Role responsibilities

Practice Leadership

• Define and evolve the vision, strategy, operating model, and long-term priorities for the Experience & Commerce Practice.
• Establish a clear point of view on how AI transforms digital experience delivery, platform engineering, commerce, and consulting services.
• Create standards of excellence across engineering, business analysis, consulting, and client delivery disciplines.
• Foster a culture of innovation, technical depth, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with executive leadership to drive organizational transformation toward AI-native ways of working.

Capability Building & AI-Native Transformation

• Lead the transformation of our Experience & Commerce teams into AI-native delivery organizations.
• Introduce and scale AI-enabled operating models, including agents, AI-assisted workflows, and spec-driven development practices.
• Define and grow emerging capabilities, including:
  • AI-driven commerce
  • Intelligent product discovery
  • Predictive personalization
  • Autonomous shopping agents
  • Agentic web experiences powered by generative AI and real-time data
• Build and mentor a high-performing team across engineering, consulting, architecture, and business analysis disciplines.
• Develop a network of subject matter experts to support client engagements, capability growth, and sales pursuits.
• Establish hiring profiles, career frameworks, and learning pathways that support T-shaped skill development.
• Drive certification, training, and capability development initiatives across strategic platforms and technologies.

Delivery Excellence & Client Success

• Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, helping shape platform strategies and business transformation initiatives.
• Guide teams in designing and delivering scalable, high-quality solutions that achieve measurable business outcomes.
• Champion delivery excellence through reusable assets, reference architectures, accelerators, and best practices.
• Partner with delivery leaders to ensure engagements are properly scoped, staffed, and positioned for success.
• Drive adoption of AI-native delivery approaches that improve efficiency, quality, and speed to market.

Market Leadership & Offering Development

• Maintain and strengthen Valtech's market leadership position in Experience & Commerce through thought leadership, industry events, and publications.
• Collaborate across practices, regions, and client groups to develop integrated offerings aligned with market demand.
• Partner with Sales and Alliances teams to strengthen strategic platform partnerships and drive joint go-to-market initiatives.
• Identify emerging technology, AI, and platform trends that create new opportunities for clients and the business.

Must have qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• 15+ years of experience leading digital, technology, commerce, experience, or consulting organizations at scale.
• Proven executive leadership experience building and managing multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, architecture, consulting, business analysis, and delivery functions.
• Demonstrated success defining strategy, leading organizational transformation, and driving measurable business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of modern digital architecture, cloud platforms, enterprise technology ecosystems, and platform-based delivery models.
• Experience leading complex digital experience, commerce, or customer transformation initiatives.
• Deep understanding of how technology platforms create business value and drive client outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of AI's impact on software delivery, digital experiences, platform architecture, and operating models.
• Experience leading large-scale change initiatives and driving adoption of new ways of working across organizations.
• Executive-level client engagement experience, including interactions with C-suite and senior business stakeholders.
• Proven track record supporting business development, strategic sales pursuits, and revenue growth initiatives.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Nice to have qualifications  

• Experience leading the transformation of organizations toward AI-native operating models and delivery practices.
• Experience implementing AI-enabled development approaches, including agent-based systems, AI-assisted engineering, automation, and spec-driven development.
• Expertise across multiple Experience and Commerce platforms such as Adobe, Salesforce, Shopify, commercetools, Sitecore, Contentful, Optimizely, or similar enterprise ecosystems.
• Experience building and scaling regional or global practices within a consulting, agency, or professional services environment.
• Demonstrated thought leadership through industry publications, conference speaking, analyst engagement, or market-facing content.
• Experience developing strategic partnerships with major technology vendors and alliance partners.
• Knowledge of AI-driven commerce capabilities, including personalization, intelligent product discovery, recommendation engines, and autonomous shopping experiences.
• Experience defining enterprise reference architectures, capability frameworks, and reusable delivery assets.
• Track record of developing talent strategies, certification programs, and leadership pipelines for high-growth organizations.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.

The benefits  

This is a Full time position based in USA. The offered salary range is $150,000 CAD - $200, 000 USD  annually, depending on experience and location.
