Mobile Test Engineer

Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced Mobile Test Engineer with strong expertise in testing Android and iOS applications, mobile test automation, and application troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will ensure application quality, compatibility, stability, and performance across different mobile operating system versions and devices.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform functional, regression, compatibility, and integration testing of mobile applications across different Android and iOS versions.
- Install, configure, and validate mobile applications on physical devices, emulators, and simulators.
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile automation test scripts using Appium.
- Execute automated and manual test cases to validate application functionality, user flows, and device compatibility.
- Analyse application error logs, crash reports, and test execution results to identify defects and investigate root causes.
- Identify, document, track, and verify defects in collaboration with development and engineering teams.
- Validate application behaviour across different device configurations, screen sizes, operating system versions, and network conditions.
- Integrate and execute mobile automation suites through Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Use Git for version control and manage test scripts in a collaborative development environment.
- Generate and maintain Allure Reports to communicate test execution results, coverage, defects, and quality metrics.
- Maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and test execution documentation.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and product teams to troubleshoot issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve automation coverage, test execution efficiency, and overall mobile application quality.
Required Skills & Experience :
- 4 - 7 years of experience in mobile application testing and quality assurance.
- Hands-on experience testing applications across Android and iOS platforms.
- Strong experience with mobile test automation using Appium.
- Experience installing applications, executing test scenarios, and validating functionality across different devices and OS versions.
- Ability to analyse application logs, crash reports, and debugging information to troubleshoot issues.
- Experience with functional, regression, compatibility, and integration testing.
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, Git, and Allure Reports.
- Understanding of test automation frameworks, reusable test scripts, and automated test execution.
- Familiarity with defect tracking, test documentation, and software testing lifecycle practices.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with development and QA teams.
