Job Description

Job Summary

Software Development Engineers are expert problem-solvers and builders who design, implement, and improve software applications and systems.

In this role, engineers spend approximately 60-75% of their time coding, working hands-on with code, data, and modern tools including AI-assisted development, cloud services, automation frameworks, and mobile technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality solutions that drive business outcomes in the fintech sector.

This position focuses on developing innovative mobile applications, SDKs, and platform capabilities that enable secure authentication, digital identity, payment security, fraud prevention, and customer engagement experiences across Android and iOS platforms. Engineers collaborate with product managers, architects, designers, QA engineers, operations teams, and compliance partners to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable mobile solutions used by millions of consumers worldwide.

All roles require digital fluency, including the ability to effectively leverage emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, and Agentic Development workflows) to improve engineering productivity, software quality, and developer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Engineering & Solution Delivery:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to determine requirements for product components and incorporate feedback into future designs and solutions.
• Translate functional requirements into system designs and communicate component interactions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and timelines.
• Design and develop product components, refine implementation plans, and participate in design reviews to ensure completeness and adherence to requirements.
• Contribute to project estimation, delivery planning, and risk identification.
• Lead by example in creating, implementing, and maintaining extensible, reusable, and maintainable code.
• Apply debugging, monitoring, and observability tools to resolve complex technical issues and identify opportunities for automation.
• Lead code reviews and drive adherence to coding standards, security requirements, and engineering best practices.
• Develop comprehensive testing strategies, identify coverage gaps, and proactively address defects to minimize customer impact.
• Leverage operational metrics, analytics, and monitoring data to improve product reliability and performance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with incident response, troubleshooting, and production support activities.
• Continuously learn emerging technologies and contribute innovative solutions that improve products, development processes, and engineering practices.

Mobile Engineering:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support native Android and/or iOS applications.
• Build scalable, secure, resilient, and high-performing mobile experiences.
• Collaborate closely with backend, platform, product, and security teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Drive architecture decisions and engineering standards across mobile platforms.
• Optimize performance, responsiveness, memory utilization, and battery efficiency.
• Support production troubleshooting and continuous service improvement initiatives.
• Mobile Platform Engineering, SDK Development & Release Automation (Strong Plus)
• Candidates with experience in mobile platform engineering, SDK development, and release automation will be highly preferred.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performing mobile applications, SDKs, and reusable frameworks that support enterprise-grade customer experiences across Android and iOS platforms.
• Build and evolve developer-facing SDKs, APIs, and platform capabilities, while creating comprehensive technical documentation, sample applications, and integration guides that enable successful adoption by internal teams and external partners.
• Lead the implementation of modern mobile DevOps practices by designing and maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines that streamline development, testing, security validation, deployment, and release management processes.
• Own the end-to-end mobile release lifecycle, including SDK versioning, backward compatibility, code signing, application publishing, App Store and Google Play deployments, rollout strategies, and production support.
• Drive continuous improvement in engineering productivity, developer experience, platform reliability, and customer integration success through automation, tooling, operational excellence, and engineering best practices.

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in software engineering or a directly related field.
• Experience developing and supporting native mobile applications on Android and/or iOS platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Master's, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD.
• Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring engineers, and driving engineering best practices with or without direct reports.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable software solutions and services.
• Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test plans, and quality assurance processes.
• Experience debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving complex software issues in production environments.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions and business outcomes.
• Experience conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards, security requirements, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience building, enhancing, or supporting developer tools, automation capabilities, and engineering productivity initiatives.
• Experience designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade Android and/or iOS applications.
• Experience building and maintaining mobile SDKs, reusable libraries, and developer-facing APIs.
• Experience implementing mobile CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, release engineering, and mobile DevOps practices.
• Experience building and testing enterprise-scale applications, services, and mobile platforms.
• Experience working on customer-facing products, technical teams, or platform engineering organizations.
• Experience with mobile deployment and delivery tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Fastlane, Bitrise, CocoaPods, Swift Package Manager (SPM), Google Play Console, and App Store Connect.
• Experience in Payments, FinTech, Digital Identity, Authentication, Fraud Prevention, Risk Management, or Cybersecurity domains.
• Experience leveraging Generative AI and AI-assisted development tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve software delivery and developer productivity.

Information for US Applicants

For roles located in the US, the estimated salary range for this position is $137.200,00 to $ 219.700,00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
