About this Role

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Operations and Cloud Infrastructure professional to join our Cloud Operations team based in Bangalore. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and evolving cloud platforms that enable the virtualisation of network functions across Vodafone’s core network. The position offers the opportunity to work with multi-vendor cloud technologies, including VMware and Ericsson cloud-native environments, while collaborating with engineering, design and operational teams across multiple markets. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring platform stability, security, lifecycle management and operational excellence through effective incident, change and problem management.

What you’ll do

• Manage and support a mixed cloud environment comprising VMware vSphere, VMware Tanzu, VMware NSX and Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS).
• Operate and maintain cloud platforms supporting virtualised network functions within Vodafone’s core network.
• Troubleshoot critical incidents and perform incident management, fault resolution and error handling activities.
• Implement security policies and remediate platform vulnerabilities in accordance with industry best practices and organisational standards.
• Coordinate and support change management, fault management and service request processes in partnership with design and delivery teams.
• Assess platform releases, firmware updates and security patches, planning and coordinating upgrades with consideration of cross-market dependencies.
• Support lifecycle management activities for cloud infrastructure platforms across multiple markets.
• Build effective working relationships with stakeholders, vendors, engineering teams and internal customers.
• Organise and prioritise operational activities to meet service commitments and critical deadlines.
• Contribute to platform improvement initiatives, operational resilience and service optimisation programmes.

Who you are

• Demonstrated expertise in Ericsson Cloud Native Infrastructure Solution (CNIS).
• Strong understanding of cloud platform operations and administration.
• Knowledge of VMware technologies including vSphere, Tanzu and NSX.
• Deep understanding of storage technologies, SAN infrastructure and network architectures.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in system administration or cloud administration using Ericsson CNIS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to perform effectively during critical incidents and high-priority operational situations.
• Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across geographically distributed teams.
• Strong learning agility and willingness to adopt emerging technologies and methodologies.
• Fluent communication skills in English.
