Platform and Integrations Engineer

About the tech

At Vooma, you’ll harness the power of LLMs to transform the way freight is executed. You’ll work with us to combine the latest in computer vision, natural language and autonomous systems to build robust AI behaviors and stunning product experiences for logistics teams that weren’t previously possible.

You’ll work with a modern web stack (Next.js, GraphQL, Node) and a cutting-edge AI stack (OpenAI, Anthropic, Open-Source models). You’ll code primarily in Typescript and Python.

About the role

Logistics is a highly fragments industry for software. To build useful products for our customers, we need to build robust and scalable data pipelines between Vooma and proprietary and third party data systems. Within Vooma, we need to scale our ability to handle the vast different types of structured and unstructured data that will feed our AI workflows.

You will be responsible for designing and scaling these data pipelines, integrating the data with our AI systems, and working with customers to ensure that these data pipelines properly model their workflows.

This role is great for someone who is:

• Has past backend experience and would like to grow and scale our data and AI infrastructure.
• Is excited about the idea of working directly with customers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing and managing automated workflows and data pipelines for seamless communication between platforms
• Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable platform features and integrations with third-party software and APIs
• Collaborating with customers to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions

You likely have:

• Experience and / or appetite for working at a startup
• 1-4+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform development and integrations
• Experience integrating third-party APIs and building scalable data pipelines
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eagerness to wear multiple hats, lead new initiatives, learn new technologies, and get it done; whatever it is
