Senior Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Java-based software using Spring Boot and microservice architecture.
• Break down user and technical stories into development tasks and ensure timely delivery.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code with unit and integration tests.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for internal use by developers, QA, and support teams.
• Participate in code reviews, continuous refactoring, and overall improvement of code quality.
• Collaborate with international teams on design, implementation, and support activities.
• Provide Level 3 production support and contribute to incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Ensure adherence to software engineering best practices, including CI/CD and version control.
• Maintain compliance with applicable standards, regulations, and organisational policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned to meet evolving business needs.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development (Java 17 preferred).
• Proficient in Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and microservices architecture.
• Experience with messaging systems such as Apache Kafka and Zookeeper.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and relational database design.
• Familiarity with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with WebSocket implementation and asynchronous communication.
• Ability to produce clear documentation and well-commented, maintainable code.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with a focus on Java and backend systems.
